Post-41F NFA Stamp Tracking thread

Always was worried about the delivery to the house.
The way shipping is now a days..... anything happens you will be starting all over again!

Yes, did the delivery to the house. First time here, they had a much better deal than LGS.
Just so you’re not surprised, you know there’s a minimum of an extra week in that process…right?

Yeah... When I initially did it, I figured I'd wait close to a year... What's one more week. Now that I'm actually in the approved state... A week feels like a year.

Still waiting on my 4th form 4 that was submitted on the same day (other 3 all came in at once two months ago), must've been lost to the sands of time.

Now you've done take the fun out of it! 😂😂
I have also picked up multiple transfers at a time. i think 5 was the most i picked up in one day (but they also were approved at different times).
It was still fun, but it stings a little.

So obviously this is how you guys deal with the "wait".... yall just have so many items in the pipeline that every other week ya get a call to pick somethin up🤣 Wonder what it'll be this week!🤣
I submitted back in late September and I'm getting so antsy with this waiting crap.
Might just go and file for a new can every 2 weeks and see what it feels like to have that happen... STARTING NEXT YEAR😭

Start listening to/hanging out with some of the folks on here and that’s what happens.

Beginning of 2023, had no NFA stuff. In a year’s time, I managed to get four Form 1s (SBRs), three Form 4s (suppressors), currently have one pending F4 for a can, thinking about puttting another one in the pipeline and toying with the idea of doing another F1 for a SBS.

@RSKYBSNS

Seriously though, the more folks who jump in, the better off we’ll be. Will cans, SBRs or SBSs ever get out from under the NFA? Maybe, maybe not, but there’s a greater chance of it happening with a legion of folks owning them, as opposed to just a handful.

It’s kinda like a chain reaction. I was introduced/educated by a fellow on here who smiles, wears sunglasses and sees/hears/knows nothing….lmao.

I’ve turned right around and did the same thing….have a neighbor, a BIL and a couple of friends looking at filing for SBRs/suppressors…even got my dad considering a can for his AR…and he’s 77.

Actually, yes. I have nothing pending now except some "free form 1 braced pistol" things that are pending federal level litigation
I was wondering just the other day what else i can buy/do to get something back in the pipeline.

The clear answer is a machine gun...

You may think you're kidding, but I have been considering another attempt at that.
I was "DISAPPROVED" back in 2014 or 2015 last time i tried to form 1 a receiver into a machine gun, even though some people had their applications approved using a trust...

I was thinking to try to resubmit again and ask them to reconsider under a Bruen "text history and tradition" analysis - various states and the fed had milita acts that required men to be able to show up with everything fit for military service.. so a 14.5" m4-style carbine fits that today. Miller case discusses that rifles with a reasonable relation to the preservation or efficiency of a well regulated militia should be protected by the 2A.

@NotAFed and @Supermatch
Were you fellas filed under a trust or individual?
Also, is there a time gap between when approval happens and when you get called to pick it up from the shop? Does the ATF approve then mail the stamp to the dealer?

did you do paper form4 submissions? If you did paper, you'll have to wait for them to mail it...
there's no stamp to mail with silencershop or eforms.
even with eforms, It's best to give the shop a day or two, because they've had your one little box sitting in their vault for a year with stuff from ALLLL the other people waiting. They'll probably get notification too, get around to finding it and putting it in the "ready for pickup" pile for you when they can, and give you a call. Don't worry, they're just as eager to give you the final bill and get it out of their pile - every inch of floorspace not generating money is losing money. it's on their insurance until the transfer happens.

Individual.

I sent a text to THSF as soon as I got the ATF email. He offered for me to pick it up same day, but I picked it up the following day due to my schedule.

Individual.

With the eForms, you get e-mailed a copy of your approved stamp, and you can just pick it up from the shop.

When I go through Capitol Armory, there is an additional wait period since they send paperwork and wait for acknowledgment from your CLEO.

I did an Eform on a trust through Johns Militia Gear in Hickory.
So there isnt an "official" type of paper that has a special watermark or something fancy for the stamp? Sounds like either the shop or I have to print it off if we want a hard copy.

Nope. No “official” type of paper. Just the watermarked stamp on the form you can print out. No real stamp coming in the mail or anything else.

I seeeeee, thanks for the incite fellas. Hopefully I can get an approval email as quick as some of y'all. Not holding my breath though.
