PSA - Pride month

I am starting to get a bit agitated over all of this.

I have several coworkers who put pride this, pride that all over their email signatures. My cousin's daughter is gay; another cousin's son is gay. They are loud and they are proud, so proud of their kids. Gimme a break and let me live my life in quiet solitude.

i'm with you on that.

Maybe give all the "pride" folks participation trophies? Maybe then they'll stfu?

I think we all are. People just need to be happy for themselves, no matter the race, religion, sexual orientation, diet, gender, or whatever, and stop forcing it down others throats. So many people are so desperate for attention, and desperately want to feel "special" that they just can't STFU.

I'm 110% certain that "White Pride" and "Straight Pride" wouldn't be greeted with the same enthusiasm for diversity.

I honestly don't care about the month one way or another (I do support their rights in general), but as a vexillologist wanna-be I have trouble with the 30+ different flags that are involved.

Personally, I am glad people can be themselves and love whom they choose.
I want people to be happy and free and not have to lie and hide themselves for fear of violence and ridicule and shame. Never heard of a straight person that has had to do that. Straight people don’t get thrown off buildings and hung and whatnot all over the world to this very day.

So, they can have their month and their parades. I couldn’t care less. More power to them. I feel confident I am not going to “catch it” and start drooling over hairy man-ass.

What annoys me is when it is actually Marxist politics masquerading as gay rights. Which can sometimes be the case.
But being from near San Fran, have met many gay men that were quite conservative. I mean, look at Lynsey Graham and Karl Rove. And the Bush’s all seem super gay to me. Meh.

After June 30 are you stopping (celebrating)? Are you celebrating in October, again?

My issue is not with LGBT, it's with anyone who stakes a claim to want to be "like everyone else" but then feel a need for special recognition. That Wiki page I posted has a full year of hyphenated groups that want to both be left alone to pursue the American dream but want special accommodation in pursuing it. Gone are the days of live-and-let-live; now it's live-and-ram-it-down-your-throats.

I have the same issue with how my colleagues act for Nurses Week, or EMS Week, or any of that BS, too.

Live your lives to the fullest, don't hurt anyone, be with whomever you want (or even more than one, I don't care).

My new job was apparently the first company to give same sex couples marital benefits etc etc and there are screens all over the place saying so.

December is a month mostly dedicated to Christmas, but it's part of what I do year round. June is a month dedicated to this, but it's part of what I do year round. Same.

Fire up a controversy (doesn't matter which or whatever) shift the goal posts, head fake, and move the ball a little farther down field. Traditions, culture, norms of behavior and expectations, bonds of family, religion, tradition - all must be eradicated to make way for a new devoted following to "spontaneously" evolve as an illusive stranger, Pied Piper, strolls calmly into town. I think it was comedian Patrice O'Neil who said- Why do i have to hear about your sexual preference. If i like to pee on girls should everyone be forced to listen to me talk about it all the damn time? You are who you are and you do what you do. I do not give any pats on the back for your sexual preference.

Marginalized...celebrated in the news, added dis-proportionally to movies, tv shows, comic books. Celebrated at colleges and universities, given their own parades, flags flown around the world, the freedom to label anyone a "bigot" who disagrees with them, coverage under the silly "hate crime" laws...

I personally dont care what people do in the privacy of their own homes. I have my views, and my beliefs. I can disagree with others, but I dont have a right to force myself upon them.

I also find it irritating that all of these "stunning and brave" companies who are showing their outpouring of support are silent in showing this support in the countries around the world where alphabet people are >actually< oppressed. Where are the rainbows on websites in Saudi Arabia? Iran? Kuwait? North Africa? If you are "stunning and brave" only when it is completely safe to do so, then it is cowardice disguised as social awareness.

Gays came out 50 years ago. They're hardly edgy with controversy anymore. Then the lesbians had to jump in. All was rainbows and who cares until Matthew Shepard tried to pay off his drug dealer debts with homo sex. That was a hate crime! Before that even some Jewish guy changed his name to Christine and became a laughing stock off and on, tried to get a free greenhouse for his endorsement from a German gent I knew on LI. Trannies started out as gays in prostitute camo trying to get paid for what they loved to do. Some customers did not appreciate the ruse and might have accidentally murdered a few. Hate crime! Normal kids transitioning is relatively new and so disturbing these flag bearers really ought to reconsider if death and despair of these empty souls is something they want to encourage. Pride week is a pathetically played out melodrama perennially in search of new victims to exploit for their own irrelevance.

When homosexuality is advertised on tv and media it’s no difference than Coors beer ads. Be proud, prosper, enjoy the freedom half the world will kill a person for being. America is great country to be free to live as you wish. None of my homosexual friends even talk about themselves as being different. Never. Nor do they feel the need to isolate from being a different group.
 
More like normalizing an ever increasingly bizarre range of "sexuality" that has nothing to do with sex. NYC recognizes some 37 different gender pronouns. This is an indication of a breakdown of meaning, turning reality inside out to disrupt any residual identification of normal, ushering in an imaginary world, denying intense natural attraction between the sexes. There are only two. Of course this destroys the significance of love, spontaneity in the natural attraction of mates to build the next generation of families that sustain society. This is a constant goal of all nihilist totalitarians. They don't care about trannies or gays, or blacks or wetbacks or anyone with a heart and soul. It isn't recruitment per se of neophytes to abuse, like allowing gay scoutmasters in turned out to be, but the constant propaganda does normalize weird destructive ideas. Being sexually liberated today implies gender fluidity, suppressing human hormonal stimuli, passion, with intellectualized gender nonsense. It's a joke!
