My company is "Woke", it's getting worse... On Woman's day to celebrate the achievement of women in the workplace, they had a Transgender as the face of woman's day for the company. If I were a Woman, I would have been outraged. Hell, I was pissed about it.

We have had a couple trans over the years. Ran into one coming out of the men's room around 2005 or so. I don't care one way or the other but quit being disrespectful about it.

Health care UNC. Getting very in your face politically too. Arrogant opinion letters on Chauvin verdict, CRT etc. There is a State Religion and not so subtle inquisition brewing. Ripping down statues and renaming buildings is almost the least of it. There is no academic freedom much less scholarship anymore. Not that anyone wants to stir things up intellectually in the first place, as long as athletes pass. All the Woke garbage.
 
My wife just inherited her father's house in Hungary. It's tempting to keep.
I'm all for people doing whatever makes them happy at home just so long as they respect my rights to do the same. If this country falls to the woke there might be a new frontier in Hungary for us refugees.

People, for years, have been conditioned to do what they are told. Most will fall lock step and do what they are told like good little worker bees. Others will say no, and not show for that nonsense. The first group will gripe and complain about them not showing for their "mandatory" training (secretly being envious of them for staying home). In my experience, nothing happens. I used to be a member of the first group, a combination of stubbornness and age has now pushed me into the latter. Stand for something or fall for anything, die on your feet rather than live on your knees, etc, etc.

Whether or not you will be fired would depend on how valuable your are to the company or agency you work for. After all, we live in a right to work state, you can be fired at any time for any reason (excluding some union jobs).

Here’s a shining example. Traffic backs up at our Chickfila, like every Chickfila. They have two lanes that are divided by pylons that merge into one lane. They do a great job of taking orders and moving things along. When you finally make it to their actual lot there’s a sign on the very first pylon in between the two lanes that says “Use Both Lanes.” It’s a temporary sign, so if they didn’t want you to do that they could easily turn it around so you don’t see it, or just set it aside, or take it in. BUT, the only time drivers will use both lanes is if an employee is actually standing there at the edge of the lot directing them to do so. Otherwise they pile in the one line and then the line goes out to the damn street and around the corner, and the dipstick customers know it.
I pull into the un-used line, alone, and drive ahead, and they take my order, because the sign says to.

Well, the rebels that I see NOT wearing masks are usually white folks. Most of the others are still wearing them, even though they are useless & they don't have to.

Yea, the majority in my area didn't take them off until King Cooper said it was ok to. Very few around here went massless, lots of true believers, still see many alone in their cars with faces covered lol.

My issue is not with LGBT, it's with anyone who stakes a claim to want to be "like everyone else" but then feel a need for special recognition. That Wiki page I posted has a full year of hyphenated groups that want to both be left alone to pursue the American dream but want special accommodation in pursuing it. Gone are the days of live-and-let-live; now it's live-and-ram-it-down-your-throats.

I have the same issue with how my colleagues act for Nurses Week, or EMS Week, or any of that BS, too.

Live your lives to the fullest, don't hurt anyone, be with whomever you want (or even more than one, I don't care).

If they want to impress me with their pride, I want to see them march down the street of Tehran, Baghdad, or Riyadh. Being woke in a woke country, in a woke state, in a woke city, in a woke neighborhood isn’t brave.

I often think these movements attract empty souls who want to be a part of something bigger and more important. Their dissatisfaction with their sluggish prosperity, dim future, inability to connect and mate or fulfill all the conflicting demands of fad society has them shut off from their feelings and deepest values they can’t question or express. Bitter envious hopeless cripples. Sad but obnoxious.
 
They have PRIDE themed baloons and decorations in our break room at the big box store I work at p/t.

My ex and I went and got a thing notorized saying we were domestic partners and I got on Duke Energy insurance which was better than what my company had. I thank the gays
