I like the Shooting Ace grips also. Got them for S&W J frames, Colt D frames, and Charter Arms. They cover the back strap of the gun's frame but leave the front strap open. Tyler T-grips work fine on them also.

@Cocked & Locked, just out of curiosity, are the shot shells the first in rotation, followed by the HPs?

By the way, nice knife. ;)

Yes Sir...shot shells first two up during copperhead time of the year.

If I’m somewhere in public (and carrying this) the shot shells come out and are replaced with conventional ammo.

Thanks!

The Smith & Wesson Model 28-2 Highway Patrolman came back today...

New bead blast blue and grip frame cut from square to round butt. A working gun needs rubber grips, but I just ordered a set of wood combats from DX Classic, no medallion.

Need to dig out one of my model 27's I had the same grip change. Shortened grip frame.

Acquisitions here lately have been "varied". :)

Charter Arms "Tiger" in .44 Special. Had one of these before that I had to let go. Now that we have a few bears on the property I wanted to be able to pocket carry a big bore while searching the creek banks for mushrooms. The "tiger stripe"? Guess I watched too much Tour of Duty when I was a kid.

I traded for a used NAA in .22lr. Not even sure what it is called, didn't come with a box or anything. Not sure why I got it but it has been a lot of fun so far. Kinda fits real good in my top pocket on my overalls.

I picked up a 686+ (7 shot) (686-6) Talo edition. Non-fluted cylinder, green laminate grips, and 3 inch barrel.

Now that I have two of them, I need to find someone who does laser engraving in my neck of the woods. Got a little project in mind.

While I'm on .357s, I did manage to trade for a 66-5 (4 inch) a few months ago. She's been pulling quite a bit of truck/golf cart/4-wheeler duty since I got her.

Stumbled across another 640 no dash. I say another because my daughter swiped my first one for her EDC. The one she got was immaculate. This one not so much. But she is mechanically sound despite the "carry wear" type scratches.

A lot of really nice posts here in the last few days. Good stuff.

Here’s one more of the “round butted” and reblued Model 28-2. Swapped the Byron’s for a Pachmayr Compac Grip with the Smith & Wesson logo. This combo will stay. Feels great.
