Revolver Picture Thread

It’s the very elusive SA/DA 642. Rare and valuable!
Isn’t that the one you hand picked out of five or six?
Ahh yes, here we have a fine example of the limited-run DA/SA Centennial model.

Yup, out of 4 different ones. Dry firing it to break in the trigger, reset started getting sticky and then this happened. Got pics/a video but can’t recreate it again, calling S&W tomorrow. Can’t catch a break with these revolvers :/

Well you definitely broke it. Mission accomplished!

When I got my 442 it was full of metal shavings and the barrel was canted to the left. S&W fixed it but, yes, it’s infuriating.
I have a 642 that has a cant and shoots off to the left a good ways. I called SW and he basically told me I couldn’t shoot. Strange that I can shoot my 640 dead nuts on at the same distance.

I still like the gun for its intended use, but it does irritate me. Do you think it’s worth trying with SW again? Did they straighten your barrel out?

Personally, even if this gets fixed I’m going to hold off from Smiths for the time being. Disappointing because I’m really loving revolvers but I just can’t seem to get past the god-awful QC

Yes they did, and nicely smoothed out the action while they were at it.

This place needs a dedicated revolver picture thread. I'll start us off...

Here are a few 3" K Frame Smith & Wesson revolvers. Clockwise from bottom left (1) Model 13, Model 64 NY-1, Model 65, Model 10-7, another Model 65 at bottom center.

Let's see what you've got. Post anything...new revolvers, old revolvers, your favorite carry revolver, etc.

3" 66's are awesome. I'm a huge fan of the model 19/66's. I just picked up another 2.5" for a song, then gave it away to a great friend/co-worker that was looking for one and not a gun forum/range guy. As luck would have it, two days later on a local Long Island gun forum, another was for sale and I picked it up (no pic of that one yet, but just like yours above). Unfortunately I only have one 19 (2.5"). I'm a model 13/65 fanboy also.

Other favorites...3"65 or the 3"66 or the 3" 31.... I ran out of room so I no longer collect handguns unless it's another 3" 19/66....
