Short wait times for suppressors are the new normal

So I'm curious if anyone knows what they are looking at for approval? According to their site the current average wait for an individual form 4 is 53 days but I've seen several on here and Arfcom that are getting approved within hours or days and others still waiting months. There seems to be no method to the madness, like they have interns working the queue and doing LIFO, and some get lucky some don't. I would love to call the number but feel that mine would get pushed even further down the queue if I do.

I bought one of those b&t 22 cans and it's been pretty good so far.
Ok, so maybe I can ask you the questions. The one review I saw said the threaded end had spanner holes, which I’ve seen a pic of. Them something about a hex hole in the blast baffle? Maybe something an allen wrench would fit?

Is there any way to remove the front cap?

And you can confirm the baffles are polymer? (I saw the B&T rep say that, maybe on video from SHOT? I’d be curious to see the manual for it…can’t find a copy online.

Zero logic to any of it. The one thing you can be assured of is that it’s not a FIFO system.

Calling will have zero impact. But it will also tell you absolutely nothing, assuming you filed with eForms.

@BigWaylon I was of the impression that it was not meant to be disassembled. I will get you some pics though. I had been told that you're supposed to just soak it when it needs to be cleaned.

I believe the baffles are polymer. They certainly look like it.

It is bigger than my dead air mask but weights less. Also most of the weight is at the end where the threads are at so it doesn't feel front heavy at all. The mask is obviously a higher quality can but it was also more than double the price. Other than the first round pop they seam pretty comparable in volume reduction. I am using the b&t on my semi autos so I don't really care about the pop. Keeping the mask on my bolt gun.

I thought that said "not a FAFO system" and i was going to point out that i'm purposely trying to put stupid "reasons" on my form 1 applications now to see what will make them fail and get me a stern talking to.

There isn't anything on the other end of the can to help with disassembly.
That can isn't disassembleable.

Is that a word?

Anyway you clean it by soaking it in hot soapy water and then air dry.
Dunno about that. As it's part aluminum, I don't think the ultrasonic cleaner is a good idea.

I looked into getting one and decided I already didn't use my Mask enough to warrant another 22lr can.

I think “not user serviceable” is the term. 🤓

Electronic RPQs are a no-brainer. But so are electronic 5320.20s.

I submitted a form 4 single shot trust on 21APR24... Still waiting on my approval...

Okay, but serious question… where are y’all finding cans to buy?
