Sightings.

Seen a older 50’s model dully, lowered with a Cummins engine in it…totally rad rod, wish I could have gotten a picture of it.

At Lowes on Sunday...turns out I know this guy. A local tattoo artist that Ive known for about a decade but not seen in a while. I hate I missed him in the store

Has a 6L v8 in in and the rear doors are a JDM option that a previous owner swapped in. VERY COOL. I love the rear bumper with the step.

Didn't get a pic but I saw one of those Rivian electric trucks the other day. It's bigger than I thought it would be.

Checkout this awesome dually 4x4 camper van thingy I spotted in Lexington. There is a sticker in the front window with the name of the owners travel blog documenting their journey all around the world. They even have YouTube videos of the restoration and adventures. This thing was in great shape from I could tell. All of the undercarriage looked amazing.

What's the page, I cant read the little sticker on the front

Wow, that is a wild sight. Was it going really slow or swerving all over the place? There is a lot of money in that picture right there. I think those older defenders were aluminum tubs, but I know all of that running gear is heavy. It also looks like they are using an aluminum trailer so that will help with his overall towing weight but I’m curious as to what that short wheelbase tow vehicle can safely pull and control. Super cool rigs though.

It seemed to be cruising fine around 70mph. I looked up the shop that built both of them. Link below.

There must have been some type of overlanding expo or something down in Charleston or thereabouts. On my trip down there was a convoy of around 4 or 5 built 4runners and Lexus GX's headed north. I passed this one later in the afternoon headed north as well.

Picture below from a blog on their website.

If you zoom in and look starting at the line at the front of the driver door it looks like a stretched type 1 VW beetle.

I had a 1976 Celica as my first car. Bought it from my older cousin with some $ help from my parents. No A/C but that was a great car! My Dad helped me put a cassette deck in it, 60 watt power booster and Jensen Triaxial speakers. I think that is why I can't hear too well now 45 years later. LOL.
