So, Whatchu Been Up To Today?

Closed out our year and did our final payroll which will actually be our first payroll of 2017. Paid my NC estimated taxes that are due 1/17/17 in order to somewhat help with the federal tax bill. This morning, I had a SC pine needle company come and put down 250 bales of long leaf pine needles. Now watching the Michigan vs Florida St. game.

Out of Pageland, SC?

Went out today and bought Christmas wrapping paper, ribbon, bows and gift tags at 70% off. I think we bought enough to last us through the next decade, but my wife says it's only a couple to three years worth.

Oh. Not the same guys I was thinking of. I was thinking of McManus Farms.

I would imagine that McManus Farms could be a supplier for Antonio's. Not sure however. We've had several Mexican companies call on us over the years for pine needle service and they've all been out of Pageland, SC.

I know there are several players, but Derrick is a friend of mine and I thought "small world" if he was fufilling your pine needle needs. lol.....

I need to write a letter to Trump about any changes to our immigration policy. He needs to make sure that the pine needle folks get to stay in country. Lol. Antonio's does a great job, and I'm serious. If I can remember, I'll post a pic of their work tomorrow.:)

Please don't. I already battle with an inferiority complex. I don't need to see dead leaves worth more than the vehicle I drive. :(

When I was in the business, we charged $9/ bale delivered and spread!

Downloaded KODI and the Wullies mini build onto my Firestick. Its the best version yet. Took forever tho.

What is that?
Amazon Firestick is a tv streaming player that you plug into your TV. It's kind of like Netflix. There is an app called KODI that you can download onto the stick to get FREE movies and stuff. TheWullies build is like a browser that makes it more user friendly.

Forgot one other thing...

based on a different thread, I went out and bought some of the microwave pork skins...son and I ate a bag when we got home, and immediately texted multiple family members to pass on our recommendation!!

Good news!

This thread will be here after the conversion. YAY!

Downside is we are starting all over again with a new conversion team. Just fired the last ones...

Off work watching the kids while searching for that perfect Colt SAA that I cannot find...

LMAO - You and me both

I rode the bike to Carthage for some BBQ at Pik n Pig. Never been there before. Never even heard of it. Lots of planes were flying in for lunch. Q was pretty good. I was the odd man out, the only sport tourer in a gang of dual sport adventure bikes. BMW'S, KTM's, Triumphs and a couple of Suzuki's. It was 31 when I left this morning. It got up to around 48 for the ride back. Didn't ride too far, about 225 miles roundtrip.

Drained the tank on my Cyclone Rake and ran it till it quit running and put her in the shed to rest until next fall. Now I'm watching the Tide roll over Washington. At 7 I'll be watching Ohio State vs. Clemson.

Folks forgot all about Skeletor.
Until he got a job as president in 2008.

We can have fires again, and my fire pit was about the size of a Volkswagen.
45 degrees, overcast, no wind, so I light 'er up.
Outta no-where, the wind picks up and starts to ignite the leaves outside the pit.
After a moment of panty-soiling, I get the hose and wet everything down. Forest fire averted.

Been to Pik n Pig several times... good place for BBQ.

Trying to kill a deer before the season runs out. This will be the first year in as far as I can remember that I have killed no meat.

Sad.

Shoulder screwed up everything. :(

They charged me $6 per bale to deliver and spread. Plus these are nice long needles unlike what you get at the big box stores. I couldn't justify buying them myself and spreading them. It would take too long and cost me almost as much.

That's a good deal there.

I saw tons of deer hunters between Lake Tillery and Carthage today.

I did absolutely nothing. I didn't even put clothes on until around 1700, just before the pizza delivery man showed up. Just sitting around watching the boob tube.

Pik n Pig is some good BBQ.
Rode up there this past fall with the Ducati guys for lunch.
Pretty cool being right there at an air strip.

Finally found this thread way back on page 12 or 13.
Kinda like one like this, post up what you're doing instead of starting a whole new thread.

Anyways, with all the messy weather/roads around me, I'm home again today.
Getting a little cabin fever but I won't take my zoom-zoom out on the roads, don't want to end up in a ditch or something.
I may get out around noon and walk down to the main road, but I have been told nothing is really clear around Clayton except some of the roads in town.
Guess it's a good thing I'm off tomorrow too....

Y'all be safe & stay warm

About to suit up for an outdoor lifting session. Get some vitamin D in between sets. Work after that.

Heat pump does a crappy job keeping the house warm so I just turned it off. May as well go outside. Kids and wife at the in laws so all by myself.

Thawed windshields, freed windshield wipers, and shoveled the porch. Will be eating chili beans, watching the games, and hearing my wife complain about the effect of eating said chili beans.

Drain snaked the washer and kitchen drain. Got the snake all the way in, maybe 20' ? and it wouldn't come back out.

Finally took out a clean out plug in the basement and managed to pull it all the way through.

What a pain.

Oh, that sucks.

Drove out to RDU last night to pick up my wife. She got in like 2 hours late. When the plane stopped on the tarmac the pilot got on the intercom and said "lots of ice here in Raleigh tonight, we slide all the way to the end of the runway"

Then the baggage cart got stuck.

Then we drove home at 2am. Roads weren't great, but passable.

I got Mean Green (the old 300 Fourtrax I'm restoring) running great yesterday and took it out for a short trip with no front fender on it. Taking it out today for its official maiden voyage on the trails around here.

If if anyone has an older Honda with full-time 4x4, I highly recommend the Warne/Wide Open driveshaft selector to make it selectable. It was a blast cutting donuts in snow and so much easier to steer in 2WD.

Walked down to the main road and then decided I would leave zoom-zoom parked for another day.
But, I will get out tomorrow! :)
