So, Whatchu Been Up To Today?

I just got home from Heavy Rebel Weekender downtown WS

For those who havent been before, or even heard of it, one of the main offerings is a free car, motorcycle, and bicycle show for pre-1972 rides. Beyond that, inside of the Millinium Center are rockabilly bands etc. There is also mud wrestling.

But, because I wasnt thinking, when I went out the door with my DSLR, I took the wrong lens, and so I didnt take too many pics because it was hard to get far enough back to get full car shots.

But there were some COOL rides down there
Seems the that trend in rat rods etc right now is transplanting turbo diesel motors into whatever, including a Caddy Deville (I dont know years, but pre-72). Most of them had snails as big as a basketball on them.
And the smell of race gas filled the streets as some of these vehicles went down the street, especially a resto-mod vette...it was sweet!

I won't be grilling today...Maybe Monday and or Tuesday.

I've got a Boston Butt in the crock pot (yea, I know not the way most would do one, but I don't have time for a grill) and will have bbq tomorrow after...
After I go shoot my darn match.
Yea, I'm going.
Probably regret it, but I'll deal with all that later.

Most of y'all probably don't watch this, the Tour de France, but I've watched it for the last 20yr or so and being an avid cyclist (or trying to be again), I enjoy watching this.
Problem is I don't have cable.
NBCSportsNetwork has the only coverage and I obviously can't get it on cable since I don't have that now.
I've tried to get it on my Firestick w/Kodi, but I had such a hard time last year, I missed the most important stages (mountains) by the time I was able to figure out what channel/where to watch it without cable.

So this year, I decided to fork over the $40 for cable so I could watch without frustration.
I go pick up the cable box, follow the directions to hook it up to cable & tv, let it run through the downloading/activating/etc.
Then NOTHING.

Nothing but "No Signal" from my HDMI input.
OK.
So, I proceeded to change to different HDMI ports, no luck.
Switched the cable from the splitter going to the modem to the cable box and the new cable on the other side of splitter to the modem.
Modem still works & I have internet.
So, it would appear that isn't the issue.

Tried all my HDMI cables in all the ports on my tv to the cable box.
No signal.
My Firestick works in any of the HDMI ports.

TWC can't get anyone out here till Tuesday.
I have no where to return this box and get another till Monday.

So, pretty much very frustrated and said F'it....I'm going to go shoot tomorrow bc this damn stuff will aggravate the heck out of me.
Maybe I will be able to move around in the different positions for shooting and not hurt myself too bad.

Listening to Lynyrd Skynyrd station on Pandora right now, getting my gear together, and maybe fix some shrimp scampi in a bit.
Will serve it over Zoodles...spiralized zucchini. :)

Was gone last week for camp with one of the teens from the church, got back and turned right around for a camping trip with most of the church. Got home yesterday afternoon and I crashed. Looking forward to being home this week. Sometime this week I'll go take the driving test to finish getting my CDL. As long as I don't forget something, I'm not too worried about it.

I moved two weeks ago and I don't have the shelves or storage space I had before for gun stuff, so it is stuck here and there, and in boxes. It becomes a real search and rescue mission when I decide to look for something. Bright flashlight mandatory.

I'm predicting that you may shoot before tomorrow and I can guess the target. The TWC guy better bring some duct tape and super glue with him.

Here's an idea.

DIRECTV NOW. They offer a free 7-day trial. NBC Sports is on all the packages except the lowest one. Simply install the app on your Firestick and watch that way.

I don't even know where to start with this one..

I guess I'll go for short and sweet...

While putting the roof on my new casadelachickencoop this afternoon I witnessed a 40' dead stand pine fall down and go boom. It missed my house, it missed both AC units but it managed to land very f#%*ing squarely on my 2 month old riding mower. 22.7 hours without so much as a scratch..

The good,
I got baby chicks, the coop is almost done,

The bad,
The grass needed to be cut 3 days ago.

The ugly,
I'm out of booze....................

Cursing the heat...I am so ready for fall/winter.
