So, Whatchu Been Up To Today?

Got groceries earlier, and I've been drinking coffee and doing podcast prep alllllllllllllllllll day since.

Went to get some groceries at the store. Had to take a detour cause the food lion truck got stuck over in a ditch. Then, several cars got collected with said truck. Other than that I have cuddled with the baby, and kids, and hung out at the house.

Nursed my heat pump most of the day, everytime it gets butt cold and really humid, the coil has trouble keeping up with defrosting between cycles, this 18 degrees at night and 50+ % humidity is a PITA

Stripped out a trigger pack screw working on the scorpion - good times

I went to work and had a fight with a 75,000.00 heating system that shuts off when the weather is to cold because it was poorly engineered and is a 100% out side air unit. I understand your frustration.

edit: BurnedOutGeek I don't know why it quoted you it was meant for USMC6094

Visited the Urgent Care today, running a fever and got progressively worse all day. Stupid sinuses
one of my sons had to go for the same reason today. Albuterol and amoxicillin are hopefully the fix.

You're not the first person I've heard that from. Apparently the screws are a PITA to come by as well.

The great part is I accidently ordered it on purpose. How you ask? I ordered the trigger kit and saw the refresh kit and said heck for $5 I'll buy it because I'm sure I'll screw something up!

What have I been up to today?

Taking care of sick kids. Third one just went down with the stomach bug. My wife is looking green now and I'm in manly denial....

Dirty pool Geek, dirty pool. That's almost as bad as offering him some greasy fried chicken cooked for 10 minutes, slathered in mayonnaise.

I've been helping my oldest brother and his wife lay new hardwood laminate flooring over the new hardwood laminate flooring in their new house.

My back and knees are getting too old for this.

That takes some explaining.

The flooring in their new house is a light Oak with a grain pattern that captures dirt and always feels dirty to them. Personally, I like it and don'thave a problem with it.

The new flooring is darker and has a smooth, ""distressed" look to it. No grain patterns to capture dirt. If I get a chance, I'll take some pics to post later.

I am off today.
I am ready to get out of the house though and will once it warms up a bit more and the people out on the roads get to their destinations.
Gonna take my son & a couple friends the clam chowder I made yesterday.
Not sure what else I'll do.

Y'all have a good day, stay safe & warm.

Colonoscpy at 2 today. I do hope they have the heat cranked up. So some of you know what I am doing right now.

Not only do we know what you are going through, we know what's going through you.

And good luck with it.

Moved more stuff.
I like 'finding' more stuff that I forgot that I owned.

went hunting, didn't see or hear anything but birds and squirrels, check the camera on my way back and batteries were low so swapped out 8 more AA batteries, noticed the corn pile was gone...went to walmart and they were out of deer corn and everywhere else is closed......built a fire in the stove, watched the first few episodes of season 1 of breaking bad, read Hand Loader magazine for Feb 2017, msg'd my tabletop FFL and got an inventory list, then checked my bank account and I can't afford any new guns.....

Oh and checked on here for forum upgrades :D
Its already outdated. You know how Will moves inventory like its a free all you can eat lunch outside weightwatchers

Finally left the house for the first time since Friday-- made it up to Mebane and did battle with the WalMartians. Back roads are still icy but 54 and 119 are in good shape. Got behind Ma and Pa Kettle coming back at 15mph. The US Mail is still on holiday here and I need my Netflix fix.

That moment you find out someone is coming over for the first time, youve got 30 minutes to straighten up (its not bad, but it aint great)

Delivered some clam chowder to my son and a friend.
Picked up my Omega from the LGS.
Took a nap when I got home.
Cooked some pork chops for lunch the next couple of days.
Still have the Chicken Parmesan sliders to eat as well...guess I can have those for breakfast.

Just getting ready for the work day tomorrow.
Hope I've got enough stuff to stay busy.

Lessee. I paid for $500 worth of textbooks for one of the kids, $800 worth of repairs to my truck...

...but may have actually found a firearms friendly payment processor today for CFF, and right with our own bank. So there IS that.

Suffered a rather impressive migraine. Played with kids in the snow.
did preliminary garden planning for this year

Joined the gym today. When I was younger I went to the gym to get stronger. Now, I think I'm just getting tired. lol

At work, with not really any work to do.
Oh well. I get paid to keep the chair warm. :)

Working till 3, then off to get doggy & take back to vet.

Best of luck with your pup.
Really hope she's ok after some therapy.

Thanks Friday, but....

Took Lilly back to the vet today because she wasn't eating breakfast unless I hand fed her.
So, she has lost 1.3 pounds since 12/27 and .75 pounds in the period from 01/06 to today. :(

Vet thinks it probably is cancer.
But, we came home with meds for her liver in case it may help the nodules seen in the ultrasound.
And, will discontinue meds from the vet from the ultrasound, as if it was a GI tract issue, these should have helped by now.
Not much to do for her if it's cancer except keep her happy & as comfortable as possible till that time.

So, we'll try the new meds and recheck in 2 weeks.

Sucks when your pets, who are a part of your family, become old and sick.

Finding out my car is pretty much worthless as the power steering failed (Hmmm over half a dozen Fords have had this same problem and a recall was put out, but not for my model having the same problem....).
We'll see what tomorrow brings.

Sorry guys.
Everyone just starts a thread on anything and everything here.
There is nothing "general" unless I've missed it....
Maybe I should start a thread tonight about how my right hip hurts and what meds I need to make it stop.

I just like a general thread like this for general stuff...

Walked up/down new location alignment for a road out in Morrisville/Cary area, making my right hip and lower back really hurt.

Managed to get a "super" vac at the car wash to clean out the potting soil from the rear seat/floorboard of my car.
Don't ask how it got there.

Came home and washed the car from all the nasty snow/ice stuff from a week or so ago.

Going to work tomorrow, my day off, since I'm getting an oil change/tire rotation at Capital Mazda/Cary, and I'm "right there".
Only for 2.5-3hr though.
Then off till Tuesday. :)

Hope everyone had a good day.

Stay safe.

Called in sick to work. Stomach virus. Drinking Pedialyte on the rocks and kaopectate. Seem to be forgoing the expulsion of my upper GI tract at this time, though it's been close.
