Durham Mayor just ordered a stay in place order for the city of Durham effective Thursday @ 6 pm thru April 30th. Said Durham Police will enforce it
What are LEO’s suppose to do? Stop everyone in a private passenger vehicle, walking down the sidewalk, etc and ask them the why, where, what for type questions? They’ll not have time to respond when a crime occurs ...Durham Mayor just ordered a stay in place order for the city of Durham effective Thursday @ 6 pm thru April 30th. Move out of Durham in 1998 ,never regretted doing so .Turned into a cesspool of crime .Unfortunatly I still have to go there for my job.
No one is going to be rounding up people and tossing them in cells. The purpose of the order is to break up crowds and stop large gatherings that could spread the virus.
You can still go out to buy the things you need. You can still visit family members and friends that need assistance or care. You can't play basketball on a public court, or hang out in a crowded nightclub. Its not the end of the world yet.

Now that they have passed a bill to strip the people of more money, the Rona will die off within a week.Yep. Can't have little Mr. I Have No Self Value getting out-maneuvered by cities trying to prove they're more liberal than he is.
Packed grocery stores, packed Home Depot and Lowes, etc doesnt spread the Rona?
I am not sure what, exactly, they will enforce. The number of business that remain open is pretty big. So they will bust up a crowd of 11?
We have marked the floors at checkouts and service desks with yellow tape because so many folks forget to keep their distance at my Home Depot.Packed grocery stores, packed Home Depot and Lowes, etc doesnt spread the Rona?
Why? Everybody just steals what they need at ours in Hickory. They don’t get in a line.We have marked the floors at checkouts and service desks with yellow tape because so many folks forget to keep their distance at my Home Depot.

I can tell you one thing. If I want to ride my motorcycle to nowhere in particular, that's gonna happen.
Catch me if you can, I'm with you !I can tell you one thing. If I want to ride my motorcycle to nowhere in particular, that's gonna happen.
Nah. The mayor said realistically that LEOs would only intervene in repeated/egregious situations. And given how many other crimes go unenforced, I have no reason to doubt that.I am not sure what, exactly, they will enforce. The number of business that remain open is pretty big. So they will bust up a crowd of 11?
There's another post in here somewhere on how to get yourself one of those.Soooo. NY might be getting sporty:

this is essentially what we do, and is basically the next safest thing you can do to remaining inside your dwelling. Depending on your particular areas crime stats, and the significant reduction of other cars on the road substantially reducing accident risk, it may actually be even safer, statistically anyway. Im going ahead and interpreting this analogous to castle doctrine, "vehicles apply" to 'sheltering in place'.
I think somebody else said it here yesterday, “How does a homeless person stay home?"What if you live in a van? Lots of people do these days... What about bums?
They can't do shite to enforce this stuff...
