I remember when I met Joe. We'd never seen each other before in our lives, but he knew exactly who I was

hey I can't help it where you came from or your kinfolk. Heck I don't even know them... for all I know they could've been southern rejects to no fault of their own. It takes someone special to be southern and even more special to be mountain folk which I happen to be

You got me... I'm a yankee; canadian, native american, italian, irish mutt... But I still love it here. There's some kin down in Florida, I'm just trying to fill in the gaps so we can slowly take over the country.

I've got some pretty thick skin, has to be for all that cold ass weather.

You do know I was saying all that crap jokingly, right? I do have Canadian heritage, but I really don't give a rat's was what you or anyone says about them. I'm kind of an ass too. In my own way I guess.

And I hope you realized I'm not sure I've said anything serious yet today

I met @DCGallim at the Greensboro gunshow. He just came up to me grinning and I stammered something like "please don't eat me".

I met him at one of the Triad lunches. Y'all know I'm not exactly small myself, but when I looked up through the clouds to that giant goliath-looking beard and his humongous noggin while reaching to shake his bear paw, the only thing I could think to say was, "I thought you would be bigger."

@Burt Gummer was behind me and muttered, "We call him Gigantor."

It's a beautiful morning here in Surry and I need to get the bacon in the pan.

Rained a little overnight and now the humidity is gone and it's nice and cool.

Y'all have a great Saturday!

I've heard a few that said they don't like the direction of the forum.

What a few active members say, doesn't necessarily represent the majority of CFF members or the forum owners. Opinions and discussion is allowed here, and because it's allowed doesn't mean it's condoned or agreed with. I've had a rebuttal for several posts I very much disagree with recently. A rebuttal is healthy, censoring isn't. Our members may have different views on extreme opposing ends. Even the Admin and Staff has very different opinions on certain issues, and sometimes it's the extreme opposite. Our staff is even allowed to participate and share opinions, and one staff member's opinion doesn't represent the rest of the staff or forum in a discussion.

We are open to discussion and many views. We won't censor these views, even if that means losing advertising money for the forum because an advertiser doesn't like what another member or members may post. We aren't going to be that type of site. Any discussion is basically allowed until it reaches the level of a threat, personal attack, or condoning violence. We won't tolerate that. We can't please everyone by censoring those who they don't agree with. If one thinks that we agree with something because we allow it to be posted, it's not the case. We will allow discussion without such censoring, and if you don't like the lack of censorship and choose to pull out, I'm sorry and wish anyone the best.

Carolina Firearms Forum will continue to allow diverse opinions without over moderation.

Whine whine whine. I don't know how some of these folks get through life. Seriously

If I proclaim that .... I dunno.... 2-1=34, and you tell me that this is wrong and stupid, it is in fact idiotic to claim you "insulted" me. The fact is, that the claim is stupid.

I can be making that claim for any number of reasons, not all of which have to do with my lack of intelligence. I might just be a stubborn s.o.b. who likes to stir things up. My wife may believe this idiocy and I am loyal to her. I might hate math. I might have some personal prejudice against an elementary math teacher, or you make me mad by calling me out for saying stupid stuff. I might see implications for myself in admitting 2-1 = 1 that I just don't like and don't want to admit. I might TRULY not see it.

Doesn't matter. It is still a stupid statement. Whiney little lace panties should not post on controversial topics if they can't stand scrutiny and people pointing out logical fallacies. If you demand someone point out your irrational responses (we ALL have them, including me) in a "well, sire. Please don't take offense, and I am sure you are well versed in this, and I don't mean to cause you indigestion or consternation, but chapter 3, page 2, paragraph one of the esteemed Pythagorus has a different opinion.... he may be wrong, and you may be right, but this calls for inquiry." Pffffft. 2-1 does NOT equal 34 and it is stupid to claim it does. Get over it.
