Do you know him (Rambler)? I work out with him with F3. Good but 'sad' story. He does a ton with rucking (Goruck, etc.), has Parkinsons. The local F3/rucking crowd have really rallied around him.

Yes, through the GoRuck side of the fence. I do F3 with the Carpex groups and ruck sometimes with Hope Valley guys. This GoRuck Custom is being put together to support him.

Yup. I've known him...6 years now? Seven? I have done a few events with him. "His" event is shaping up to be a classic. But I don't do them anymore.

We are free-ish the weekend of 3/26. May have a service project that weekend. May not. If you guys decide to ruck that weekend, please keep us posted and we will see what we can do.

26th might work for me. 27th is our Anniversary so I know that is out. I’m trying to get an electrician up to the West Jeff place so I need to see when that might happen before committing.

We are probably not going to make it this time. We are doing something like 12 miles in the mountains on Friday and my knees are already complaining from the workouts I've done thus far this week. :(

I don't want to risk an injury.

Smart move with what you have coming this summer. Stay healthy;

Sorry I can't make it this time, but I hope to join you next month!

@Fred and I knocked out 9 miles in 2:15 today. So about a 4 MPH pace. Not bad. But the pavement on that section of the Tobacco trail beats me up more than dirt trails in the woods. I’d rather have to do bigger climbs than walk pavement.

Sweet. I don’t like pavement either, though.

Broke my new bag in today. This thing is built like a tank and comfortable.

Plus a shot of Pikes Peak off in the distance.

Then y'all should be ready for this!

Somehow how think I could only bring shame and embarrassment to anything with the name Green Beret in it.

Their foundation (as is the foundation for all infantry and SOF) is the ability to put miles under boots under a heavy load. I think you can check that box.

Regarding that group, I like them and their events better than Goruck. Some of them you can do 'virtually' (on your own and not part of a scheduled event).

Light turnout (60 runners) for the ECU Storm the Stadium Run on Saturday. Rucked it at #30
3200 steps.
Great event but unfortunate the entries are low.

@Fred and I turned the CFF rucking group into a shooting group today. Much more fun than a ruck I must say. Here’s my take aways:

- Red Eotech reticle is more precise than Green reticle. But green is bright in day light.
- Ammo quality matters
- I need a bigger spotting scope if I am going to shoot much farther out with 5.56.
- LaRue makes a nice trigger
- Wilson Combat makes a nice gun
- STI makes a nice gun
- Shooting is fun

Go Ruck Apex
April 30th
530am or 630 am start. Early start= more miles

Taking it back to the Apex Friendship Middle School for some straight up ruck miles. 5:30 and 6:30 groups, no coupons, just miles this weekend so go a little heavier in your rucksack.

Short drive up the road for some Pirahna Joes coffee and Wake Z Truck Up breakfast afterwards!

F3 Rolling Stone Ruck workout.

Every Monday morning. Rain or shine.
545am Apex Community Park, Apex NC
45 min. ruck workout. #30 ruck.

Workouts and mileage vary. Additional weights routinely added. Common calisthenics.

I'm in Bahama and would love to have some rucking companions. While my 9-year-old enjoys hiking with dad his pace is a lot slower than mine. I'm available on Saturdays and sometimes during the week depending on my work schedule.

We’ll do another CFF meet soon. Just keep watching. We’re up for a meet somewhere neutral to cut down on drive time too.
