Update below

We’ll pay for kitten shots and spay/neuter. We have food and toys for it, and a little kitten litter box. It has already used the litter box.

Long story short kitten was running across the multiple lanes on Main Street before the on ramp at exit 65. I stopped, ran into the road to save it. I put it on the passenger’s seat. It made its way to the floor and just chilled until I was parking at home. I called wife and told her to come outside into the car but watch her feet when she gets in. Well she didn’t have to watch her feet because the kitten disappeared. I had to tear the interior apart to get this kitten out of my car. Yes that’s the instrument cluster removed, and the console, and the gear selector and the center vents and some trim. So many pieces. Oh and the wipers and cowl cause maybe it went up past the blower.

So… free kitten to a great home. I’m keeping her. She’s a little champion.

Update: I only had like 5 screws left over so that should be fine. Send it.

I’m keeping her. Calling her Lucky. Went to the vet today, started all that kitten stuff. She’s in perfect health, just over 1Lb, about 6 weeks old. The dogs are obsessed, the two cats seemingly couldn’t care less. Set up a Ring cam or… Cat Cam. Hilarious. Night vision sleepy time.

Didn’t take her long to assume the boss lady role
Bought the caves for our mini doxie cause she loves to burrow and be under cover. Maybe a year ago. Never touched them.
Now the kitten is totally loving them and well they’re all hers now. The blonde dog Zelda is fascinated.

I wonder if I’ll ever again see the lady that was stopped at the light with hazards on. She was getting out and said “You got it?! Thank you!” Maybe I could find her using the dash cam footage; not sure why but maybe just to let her know kitten’s ok.

Cat looks good!

We’re picking up a new kitten tomorrow. Grew up with lots of dogs. Never was a cat guy.
But somewhere along the line I became a crazy cat lady. Not sure what happened. I like watching birds now too. Me and the cats. We chill out and watch birds.

It was probably the fumes from the next hole on your local DG course that caused your changes. 😆

A lot of contact high in that sport. wasn’t long ago there was some law enforcement types sniffing around the “Homegrown Tour.” Shocked I tell ya.

Good to know it’s not likely all the bong hits I do.

Good on you for giving the kitten a good home. I never liked cats until my wife showed me that there are actually cool ones to be had. Our fat orange cat lets my kids torture him and doesn't swat at them even when the one year old pulls his tail.

Yeah dude. Orange cats are the best. Mine is so awesome, he tolerates anything all while purring and happily waving his tail. Oranges have great personalities.

Oranges have great personalities.
I am inclined to agree. We had a male yellow tabby (related to the orange / gingers) that was wonderful. My parents had a male ginger that was very friendly. They now have a female ginger that I am pretty sure is part savannah cat, that is very personable with them but not really to other people. We have a female ginger (I am pretty sure she's a Norwegian Forest cat - has all the markings and no signs of mix) and lets just say she has me well trained: she gets brushed when I come home, gets me to open the window for her, spends part of the day sitting in a chair by me when I work from home, and I occasionally wake up to find her sleeping on me.

An interesting fact about orange / ginger cats. About 80% of them are male. The color gene is recessive on the X chromosome and hence to have a female orange / ginger they need to get two copies of this recessive gene which is pretty rare.

I always called ‘em yellow cats, but yeah, they’re almost universally chill. “Talkers”, too.

The fuzz ball that picked us out has been the chillest, funniest cat I’ve ever met. Never seen a cat try so hard to make friends with everyone, including the dogs. He just wants to belong & hang with his crew. Damnedest thing I’ve ever seen.

Neighbor’s wife that was with us the night he found us outside a bar an hour away from home follows the bar’s FB page. Apparently, one of Fuzznut’s litter mates made an appearance at the bar’s Halloween party & made such an impression that he had a forever home before the night was through.

All true. My Alfred is always having conversations with me, because I’m insane. I’ll be playing Apex and it never fails when there’re two squads left he’ll come into the game room and hop up on me, start smashing his face on mine and I inevitably lose because I can’t kick him out. Every time. Two or three squads, here he comes.

Our orange cat couldn't properly meow when my wife picked him. He just made this grudge type gurgling sound which is creepy to wake up to in the middle of the night. He learned after a few months.
