Going to try to add some Southern street cred to my rep tonight. I've been told I am not assimilating well. So the grill has been fired up. I'll have to keep @fieldgrade updated with the menu as things move along.

Smoker charcoal has been started.

Tonight, Baked Pecan coated Tilapia, Brown rice, Bush's beans, and Asparagus.

What I'm having here in awhile is very simple but delicious, at least for me:

German Egg Noodles (basically short angel hair spaghetti)

Sliced Cajun Andouille sausage

Bertolli mushroom Alfredo

Sliced black olives.

It really is good. The original recipe called for pepperoni instead of the andouille sausage. I prefer using either the andouille sausage or hot Italian sausage over the pepperoni.

Cast iron pizza night. Just raided the fridge for mine and ended up with pepperoni and hot cherry peppers. Pretty good. I think sausage and the hot peppers would be even better. And a gremlin was hiding in the kitchen too.

She's a trip. I touched a hot cast iron pan last night, and said "mother"! But stopped before finishing the thought. She asked why it is mother f-word? She thinks it should be father f-word. That sounds better. I told her maybe she should try that on a persuasive essay in English class.
