Just regular ol' Kingsford in the blue bag. Get the grill heated up, put the wings on, wait 1 hour, done. I put a couple of chunks of pecan wood on there for some smoke flavor. After the wings came off I did pull out the vortex and spread the coals around and grill some corn. How long and what birquetts are you using? I need to get me one of those vortex cookers.
The grill is just about right for some chicken wangs.

Thanks for the info. I did not have much luck with getting heat from the regular kingsford, but didn't have a vortex either.Just regular ol' Kingsford in the blue bag. The vortex puts out some amazing heat.
