Some of you are aware from my past posts that my daughter, son-in-law and grand-kids live with me. The son-in-law works at a local hospital and has been around covid a lot but we have managed to keep it away from our household, that is until this past week. Thursday my 11 y old granddaughter tested positive for covid which she caught at school (her school is a hotspot). We've been doing the best to treat her symptoms at home in conjunction with meds prescribed by the doctor. I would have thought we were doing pretty good since she seemed to be fighting the infection okay, yeah she had the occasional fever spike, headache and such but the last 24 hrs have lead to a fairly consistent elevated systolic blood pressure. At first the thought was it may have been a side effect of the prednisone but now the Dr who has been checking in with us daily isn't so sure, so off to Levine Jeff Gordon Childrens Center she goes. Looks like the plan is to admit her. A prayer or two could be used right now.
