Bud Light is costing restaurants and bars millions

Restaurants and Bars didnt choose this, they should not have to suffer.
They don't have to suffer, just don't sell Trans Light. Sell the beers that people will buy. If I had a bar/restaurant and people were not buy Transgender Light I would not buy it from the distributor.

Overall beer sales have also been hit as millennials and Gen-Zers ditch the brews for other alcohol-infused products like canned cocktails or simply drink less than previous generations.
This is the trend they were seeing that made them hire that female VP. She wanted to show those generations that Bud Light shared their social views.
Separate from picking a completely unlikeable spokesperson, this is another indicator that hires/promotions based on DEI scores over merit are extremely risky.
It is a good thing.

A 24% drop in BL wouldn't cause a 5% drop in overall beer consumption, especially since many just switched between beer brands. I wonder why many of the younger crowd is leaving beer altogether. Used to, you could drink beer at 18 and spirits at 21, so maybe many just got used to beer and never went to spirits; now they can start on spirits, some of which can be easier for a new drinker to get accustomed to.

They prefer weed.

They prefer weed.
I think the drop would have been more than 24% if they had not dropped the price as soon as they realized they had screwed up trying to force acceptance of their sickness on normal, moral people. We need more people that will stand their ground. When I drink beer its usually either a microbrew to support the little man or Yuengling or a Mexican brand but if any of those supported the WOKE SICKO Movement I would not buy them either at any price. People have to stand their financial ground or they will continue to push their sickness.

Not like the two are mutually exclusive
And other generations have been big pot heads too
Yes, but legal acceptance and decriminalization have benefited the weed consumption. One gummy chew and you can relax all evening without all the calories or bloating.

I saw a guy in HT with a 12pk of bud light in his cart and nothing else. I held back my laughter but was sooo tempted to ask him if he lost a bet. This is literally the first time I’ve seen someone buy Bud since the debacle started.

There's a career drunk on a liquor cycle who frequent the closest gas station/botulism factory to me (a nasty festering mess of a place). Even he has switched from his suitcase of Bud Light to two 18 packs of PBR. He was fussing that it cost more, but he "won't drink no queer beer".

Oooohhh...on top of radically decreased Bud Light sales and drop in market share, the workers now want MORE money from the company that's LOSING money!

“If Anheuser-Busch’s executives can’t get their act together to negotiate an agreement that respects workers, we will see them out on the streets,” O’Brien said in a statement on the strike vote.

When I started, Anheuser-Busch was what you would consider the top dog, it was the job to have. The pay was great, but with inflation, we are not the top-paying job,” she said.
(Anntonette Norris)

“It’s a great product to enjoy out in the market, but it’s a big sacrifice to make that product,” Norris added. “Anheuser-Busch wants to be No 1 in the beer industry, then they should want the No 1 group of employees working for them, who are proud to work for them and who are being compensated like it. We just want a fair and great contract that we feel that we are long overdue for.”

You make beer, lady. And $#!++y beer at that, especially when it comes to the Bud Light brand. Don't know what that's worthy of being considered "the top dog" and "top-paying job". Anheuser-Busch is down 17% because their Bud Light program was so horrible it's drop is taking the entire stock down with it. And they're looking at another 7% drop forecasted for 2024. Great time to be shutting everything down for a big pay raise...and probably benefits and everything else. But whatever, lady. You go right ahead and make that 7% something double digit.

Something I read a while back was the pending strikes were due to the folks who get paid on how much they deliver. When AB makes a decision that impacts a man's paycheck, well, that's not good. They did something and people's pay went down.

The union stance reminds me of the monologue about owing money in Goodfellas.

"Beer not selling? @#&$ you pay me"

"Company losing money? @#&$ you pay me"

"Oh you had a fire? @#&$ you pay me"

And then they bust the place out for the insurance money....

Somebody been watching Goodfellas! 👍

People get offended when liberals say we are deplorables and then publicly talk about putting trans people in wood chippers and hitting them with axes
You are interpreting their statements to mean things they don't necessarily mean. Perhaps they're talking specifically about people who are paid money to go online and promote alcohol, self-mutilation, and sexual perversion to an audience that is mostly kids/teenagers? In other words, predators.

To draw an analogy, if someone says illegal aliens should be deported, do you take that to be an "attack on immigrants"?

Liberals say that whatever we do. Stop playing by their rules.

I don't care what deviants, the mentally ill and child molesters think about me. If you do, maybe ask why.
I don’t think every gay or trans person is a child molester just like I don’t think every preacher in my state should be put in a wood chipper.

I personally don’t think other peoples weird masculinity issues should decide what I do or don’t buy, but maybe you do.

Someone who is paid to promote mental illness, sexual deviancy, and self-mutilation to children is, by definition, a predator.

I personally don't think companies who fund sexual exploitation of kids deserve my money, but maybe you do.

while I do not often drink bud light because I like supporting smaller breweries at least I get to enjoy sale prices for the 3 or so 12 packs a year I buy for the next year before we are on to some other irrelevant culture war nonsense

The right has fully nosedived into anti freedom snowflake ideology at this point and it’s disgusting
