I’ve been out of action for a good bit. The hand surgery put me out for a bit, now the back is cranky. As soon As I get this back semi ok I’m heading out for a round. Hopefully in the next week or two. If not, there’s going to be some serious liver damage over here.

Just curious if there's anyone on here playing disc golf. I just recently got into the sport about a month ago and I've really enjoyed it. Would always be beneficial to know more people who play close to me for the possibility of trading some discs or just playing some rounds with someone! I bought quite a few discs already and already have some I'm going to be getting rid of soon.

I started during covid. Shooting buddy took me. Ammo was expensive and I needed to get more exercise. So I kinda stopped shooting matches and started throwing discs.
I’m totally addicted now. Funnest game ever. I think my disc hoard is over 180, lol.
I’m over in Hillsborough. So not very close unfortunately.

I played Southern Community last Saturday. First time out since last July. It wasn’t pretty, but better than I expected. I’m headed up to the mountains this weekend. Might grab a round somewhere on the way up or back. Not sure I want to play Ashe County if it’s at all slick. There is some steep spots on that course.

We play at triad park on the weekends when the weather is nice. Haven’t played in the last couple of months. Either cold as hell, raining or both.

Which triad park is this? There's a triad park close to me in coalfax/Kernersville area that has a course. That one?
Bailey Park in Huntersville. Shot par on all but maybe 2 holes. Ran most of it.

I played Castle Hayne Park yesterday down near Wilmington. Really nice course and very challenging. Worth checking out if you are in that area.

Being the professional in the group I did try to offer you free beverages for pars and birdies on the hardest holes on the course. Luckily you didn’t run up my tab later that day at lunch. There’s a temp course at the old Ballantyne CC this week. Me and a coworker are going to try to play it while it’s there. Looks like a bomber course, though. My noodle arm may regret it.

There's the new Regulator course at Cedarock Park in Burlington. Check it out if you haven't. It's epic.
Also, the US Womens Disc Golf Championship is going on out there in two weeks. Sept 21-24th. Anybody going to check it out?
I am going to go watch some and try and get a disc or two signed for my wall collection. Wouldn't mind having a disc from Kristin if possible.

Played Winthrop today. They don’t have the ropes or mozzarella sticks up yet, but it was still a beast. One of those courses you play once a year to get the experience and appreciate the other courses. It was fun, but tiring. Can’t wait to watch the pros shred it in a couple of weeks.
My daughter has a scholarship to play v-ball there. I bonded with one of the assistant coaches on our recruiting visit because he’s a big disc golfer and I;ve played there a handful of times. My kid is going to be so embarrassed when she see me and her coach flinging discs one day. 😆
Looks like they had a game today. Can’t remember if the bus in the parking lot said VMU or VCI but I assume they were playing Winthrop in the arena.
Not sure, but the women’s v-ball team just beat the South Carolina women. Big upset and likely an excuse for alcohol abuse down there tonight. Tough start to the year, but that‘s a good win. .

I went out Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday to the USWDGC.
Was really fun. Had played course twice by then, so it was cool to see the ladies tackle it. Some of them can throw some serious bombs.

Played Reedy Creek with a buddy Friday after work. Played Scrapyard alone this afternoon. Playing either Kilborne or Beastway tomorrow.

Played Bradley Park in Huntersville with the fam today. I guess I shot 2 or 3 over which is good for me.
My wife did well and my daughter did awesome. She had some ~25yd throws! Not bad for 6.
