G's Garage

I
It was a girl, she thought it was cute, her parents bought it new for her. Lol.

not 100%sure it was a 94, may have been a 93
Ive owned 3 total, first was a 93 turbo. I'd LOVE a 94 or 95 turbo (different spoiler and tails...both SILLY expensive to buy these days)

Never owned one, but always loved those cars. I got to drive a couple of them back in the day and it felt like a gocart. Very, very cool sir!

Only addition to the car right now is miles and smiles.
BUT
Im signed up to go to VIR in about 45 days for a track day!!!
Shopping new tires now and helmet

Well no real update except for the concrete guy is ready...but now Im not.
Ive got to put in some 2in conduit first, so I spent time tonight digging a trench. Im not done yet.
My uncle works for the local power company, he was saying that he sees folks pour pads over their lines all the times...and sometimes things go wrong and they need to rip up said concrete to fix it.
So we'll put in another conduit into the other outlet on the junction box (I hope that's the right term) in case something goes wrong in future.

Hopefully next week the pad is poured. It's taken so long due to all the rain and he was backed up

about 15' long, will be about 1.5' deep when done. Approx 4' or so is about a foot deep so far

Cool car, would look awesome with some 17" rpf1's
LOL I was just looking at them today...just dont know if I want to spend it now and dont know if I REALLY want those.
Im actually looking at some 17x7 and 17x8 (rear) Motegi Tracklites
They arent as light as the rpf (those are 14.6, vs these are 17lbs), but I like them a bit more
Looking at bronze.

My thought process:
For the stock 15" wheels, it's getting harder and harder to find good tires, and more expensive.
So looking at 600 bucks for the tires, then mount/balance, so another 60-80.
OR
Get another set of wheels (17") and tires for 1200 shipped already mounted and balanced from tirerack and then I'll be able to replace the tires with a huge variety of tires for quite cheap

Bought these today
SSR (speed star racing) A2 Integral 17x7
Japanese wheel company, light and strong, these are 16.5lbs each, and very fitting for this car, period correct.
I wish it were a staggered set, but they were SUPER cheap...like, I paid less for the wheels than you can buy THE CENTER CAPS for.
Now, I will have to have them shipped, so that adds a hundred bucks, but it was a hell of a deal

On the same day that I bought the wheels I ordered some Porsche parts.
There was a writeup on the Grassroots Motorsports sites - some folks are ordering GT3 RS brake ducts, they are under 12 bucks plus shipping (mine were, I think, 23 shipped)
So it's a really cheap upgrade to help with brake cooling using genuine Porsche parts. They'll be on before my track day

@HMP I installed Dry Space under my deck to create a nice white ceiling and dry area for seating and grills. Fairly easy install. Mine has held up for about 15 years or so. I can take some pictures when I get home.

You are the model of a Multi Tasker...in 5 minutes of posting time you went from an extended motorcycle trip to finished concrete.... 👌
Im a busy man.
Yes, contemplating a big trip, but I got a lot going on all the time. TOO MUCH, it seems.
Planning this building, which has been planned since Thanksgiving, working on the MR2, looking at motorcycles and stuff, and still shaping kids' minds ha

@HMP here’s a picture. Water drains to gutter and piped away.

I'm thinking about doing that at our place in Boone. Any issues with build up of stuff that falls through the deck? Is there a way to get to it to clean it out? My FIL did something similar years ago with corrugated roof panels. He did it under his deck to park a boat trailer and his mower. Eventually, it filled up with debris and started rotting the deck. Just wondering how your system works as we have a rather large deck that I would love to be able to make a grilling area if it is raining.

The panels slide in an out. I decided I never wanted to keep taking them in and out. Most debris just washed into the gutter. The biggest issue I have is squirrels building nests in there since it is open at the gutter. I have had to take a few deck boards off and clean their crap out.

I hate squirrels with a passion.

When are you going to tear it apart and build it. Right now you are just bolting stuff on

When are you going to tear it apart and build it. Right now you are just bolting stuff on
When I have time and money. And stuff breaks.
But, truth be told, things have been torn apart and fixed already, the fun of a 30 year old car is lots of little things to work on all the time.

Man … I bet those Faulkens will have a long tread life … 😆
Discount Tire offered tire protection against nails and such for 'the life of the tire,' I replied that'll be about two years max and thats with me rarely driving it (about once a month currently).
Im going to beat the hell out of them in a week when I hit the race track, but at least I know they'll grip plenty good

Anymore updates? Been following this one.

right!?!?!?! You should definitely sign up for turn 1 in August
Information?
Cost?
Actually, I might be on (another) vacation that day.
Literally decided this morning when my mom told me the beach house would be open that weekend (31-4th)

Updates - not really, just driving.
Ive got a plan for paint, it'll be in the fall. Flow Audi paint/body shop will be doing the work for me.
Other than that, just looking for little parts here and there and we'll see. Just been trying to enjoy my car

So we decided to farm out the job, the gentleman that does the Rutt Hutts is a friend of my father.
I dont know when he showed up today, it was after 9am, and I dont know when he left, it was before 1:30pm, but got a majority of the work done.
Will wrap up soon and I'll be ready to put in some shelving and move some bits in.
It will have siding on it. This was a quick pic I took right as the rain started, more to come. He sealed up the roof and everything, so shouldnt have any/much insect issues, and no rain/water issues.

Stoked.
