As far as I know, ammo is not now, and likely never will be classified as a commodity by those who decide what is and what ain’t a necessity for human survival in an emergency, which is how price gouging is defined by those who are the “deciders".
We all know that we do in fact need it to protect ourselves, but who here didn’t already have that tucked away at the beginning of all this, for such a time as this?
If those in the ammo business can capitalize off of society’s repeated and insatiable penchant for hoarding anything and everything, I say let ‘em make a buck.
I haven’t bought any since spring 2020, I don’t reload, and I have more than when this all started, and never paid more than $.30 a round for 9mm.
If anybody got caught with their pants down, I just can’t get worked up about it.
