IDPA at H2O Fowl Farms

Still trying to catch up on personal matters so I didn’t have time. Honestly kinda glad I didn’t come, looks like a big crowd. Only thing I didn’t like was how long the matches lasted and the wait between my turn.😎😎😎😎😎
 
Hated I missed this. Was going to see the grand babies then I caught a head cold that layed me out. Can't wait to shoot the next one though. That will be my Birthday match. I'll have to try hard to beat Austin on either PCC or SSP, got to show them young folks that the old folks still got it!

ETA: Just signed up for March, both PCC and SSP!!!!

fieldgrade had a roughish start, hit on a no-shoot and down 3 on stage 5, hard cover and misses on stage 6 for down 11 total. Then ran the table on 1-4, down zero. Sorry I missed it. Good shooting. The 9mm 1911-style gun jinx is over.

Watching Sean's video it's interesting to see how the starts and such are different between the squads as well as some of the target orders being different than we were told we could do. It's not crazy different, but I know all the ROs get the info at the same time from the same person so the drift is interesting.

You are being too charitable in that remark.

@Jayne Sean is never in attendance at ANY of the SO walkthroughs. It is true that he is busy checking people in and setting up the scoring tablets, but nevertheless, he has no clue how the MD has actually briefed the match.

Yeah, I hope it all goes well and the rehab is easy. I guess it would be impolite to nickname you "Hammer Toe?" How about "The Hammer," "Thor" ('s Hammer), or just "Hammer?" Not sure about the last one, though it has a ring to it. When it's your turn to shoot, "Hammer Time" would be appropriate.

Wife loved “hammer time”.
 
Welp, little training accident on my end yesterday, nothing serious but I'm not physically or mentally up to the match tomorrow so you guys have fun. I'll be home thinking about what I did and how it sucks to be getting older. Don't bounce off the concrete like in the old days.

The match scheduled for April 8 has been postponed to April 15 due to the weather.
 
One of the things I like to do at BUG matches, besides shoot the lint out of my carry gun and eat lunch after, is shoot up the carry ammo I’ve been carrying since the previous BUG match. Reminds me how the gun runs with hotter rounds in it, and refreshes the ammo in all the mags.
 
So if a guy or gal wants to shoot in NFC,
what rules if any apply?
I don't see any info in the rulebook regarding.
 
Had a blast at the match today! Great meeting everyone and to see @fieldgrade again! Loved the BUG setup and it really helps you get some good practice with your EDC.

Although it’s been several years since I’ve shot any centerfire matches. Glad to see nothing has changed. RO gives stage brief, you make a plan of attack, buzzer goes off, you completely throw your plan of attack out the window, come up with a completely new way to shoot the stage on the fly 🤣
