, buzzer goes off, you completely throw your plan of attack out the window, come up with a completely new way to shoot the stage on the fly šŸ¤£
^^^ This is the way.

I'm very out of practice and looking forward to the match tomorrow with much trepidation. I need to start building my excuse list early.
Let me help put your trepidation behind you. As long as Iā€™m shooting tomorrow, you wonā€™t be last šŸ˜

Donā€™t be fooled. Heā€™s a dang good shooter.

But so are you.

True.

Missed one due to injury, and the next due to a scheduling conflict, and the BUG match because of another conflict. It's like I don't know how to even put the vest on anymore.
I thought you retired.

If you put your head in first, you'll be ok.

That worked!

I figure I'm back about 2 years worth of performance based on today. Accuracy was very good for me, but I was slow. No gamer tricks, just plodding along and shooting stuff.

One again the metals were not made of chocolate, very disappointing.

Hate I missed the match today. Was really looking forward to seeing everyone.

And dont forget @Pynghunter 's wife Jen.
She double medaled I believe. She's a good shooter. Pynghunter as well.

Also my nephew medaled. I was glad for him. He only shoots occasionally.
Maybe his third match. Was his first time running that Kimber. He said I got work to do!

I noticed the BUG match is scheduled on top of my wife's birthday. Maybe we can move that match? no? Would be easier than me trying to convince her to let me go shoot rather than do whatever we're doing for her birthday.

:)

I find that telling a woman a nice story just before trying to negotiate being able to shoot, or something else, on her birthday helps loosen her up a little. Try this one.

A man and his wife go golfing, and on the par 4 8th hole he shanks the ball into a nearby barn. "Darn it," he says, "I'll have to take a penalty on that ball."
"No you don't," his wife says. "If I stand here and hold the barn door open, you should be able to get to the green in two."
So she holds the door open, and he takes his swing. The ball hits his wife in the head, killing her instantly.
A year to the day passes and it finds the golfer back on the same course, this time playing with a co-worker. As luck would have it, he shanks it again and ends up in the same barn.
"Don't worry," says the co-worker, "I can hold the door open and you'll be back on the fairway with one swing."
"Oh no," the golfer says, "I did the exact same thing a year ago with terrible results."
"What was that?" the co-worker asks.
"I got a 7 on the hole."

It was a hot one, but nice simple stages and shade added on the stages. But I swear I'm getting oldtimers. I submitted stage 1, meant for it to be shot 3 to each body and 1 to each head, near to far, in that order before moving to the next target. My description didn't match that order. When it was my time to shoot, I shot it the way I meant it and not the way I wrote it up, so I got a procedural. @fieldgrade designed a stage at H2O a couple years ago and got a procedural when he shot it. I laughed and laughed. I guess karma got me.

You shot a good match yesterday, only 20 points down.

@Amp Mangum am I remembering right, that I can shoot that bug match pocket carry, starting with hand on gun in pocket?

Also, I want to shoot my summer carry gun (Ruger LCP Max) with mags full...just like I carry them. Can I do that if I shoot not for competition?
I'm more interested in real world reliability of that Ruger with the mags loaded to capacity, than getting a score.

Oh...shooting it all one handed too.

Yes you can start with hand on the gun if you pocket carry.

Yes you can register for NFC and load mags to capacity.

See you on the 29th.
