King Roy strikes again...new mandates

Outdoors ... they can pound sand.

BUT he could have done worse ... Newsom type curfew, Cuomo type 6 person Thanksgiving, or worst shutdown small business ... he must be saving that for the next Royal Decree due around the 2nd week of December just in time to Grinch up Christmas.

EO 147 and wording from NCDHHS guidance [bolded for emphasis]:

C. Exceptions. This Executive Order does not require Face Coverings for-and a Face Covering does not need to be worn by-a worker, customer, or patron who:
1. Should not wear a Face Covering due to any medical or behavioral condition or disability (including, but not limited to, any person who has trouble breathing, or is unconscious or incapacitated, or is otherwise unable to put on or remove the face covering without assistance);
2. Is under eleven ( 11) years of age;
3. Is actively eating or drinking;
4. Is strenuously exercising;
5. Is seeking to communicate with someone who is hearing-impaired in a way that
requires the mouth to be visible;
6. Is giving a speech for a broadcast or to an audience;
7. Is working at home or is in a personal vehicle;
8. Is temporarily removing his or her Face Covering to secure government or
medical services or for identification purposes;
9. Would be at risk from wearing a Face Covering at work, as determined by local, state, or federal regulations or workplace safety guidelines;
10. Has found that his or her Face Covering is impeding visibility to operate
equipment or a vehicle; or
11. Is a child whose parent, guardian, or responsible person has been unable to place the Face Covering safely on the child's face.
Anyone who declines to wear a Face Covering for these reasons should not be required to produce documentation or any other proof of a condition.
Children under two (2) years of age should not wear a Face Covering.

D. Application of Exceptions. Under this Executive Order, all North Carolinians will be on the honor system about whether or not there is a reason why they cannot wear a Face Covering. Everyone in this state is asked to tell the truth and - if they are healthy and able to wear a mask - to wear a Face Covering so that they do not put other people at risk of serious illness and death.

I pretty much do what is on this list because I basically work and go home except for picking up parts. The death of bars and restaurants is almost assured now. I’m going to Kansas tomorrow. Not sure what to expect in that state.

It’s amazing isn’t it. There have only been a few Republicans I can remember winning in NC. The legislator was held by democrats for almost 100 years except the last decade. The eastern side of the state is mostly democrats. 4 metro areas determine victors in NC.

i still think its really strange that so many supposedly voted for Trump and Tillis but voted for one of the most hated dem governors around . something is really fishy

Class 2 is 1-60 days of community service Up to no more tha 60 days in jail and up to $1000 fine. Very doubtful you would get more than a couple weeks community serve of a couple hours a day. More likely dropped sentence.
 
I made a thread about our county council making masks and authorizing poleece to issue $25 tickets if you're not complying.

I was just in the Pageland Food Lion and was actually shocked at how many people were wearing them. Maybe two other people besides me, were not.
 
Certain nonviolent felonies these days get less than a week of community service, plus probation, with conviction deferred pending successful completion of community service and probation.

... and the libs want to decriminalize drugs up to a certain amount ... basically make it just an infraction not a misdemeanor.

My point there is you could be charged worse for not wearing a mask while pumping gas than possession of a couple grams of heroin ... and the US is and has been in an opioid crisis for several years that has lead to way more deaths than C-19

I know the opioid crisis up close and personal.
Making it a criminal crisis does not solve the healthcare crisis.

I’m just saying a no mask is a misdemeanor while what use to be felony drug possession could become an infraction. Personally I don’t really care if some druggie “Darwin’s” his genes out of the pool I just don’t lIke 5he fact not wearing a mask is being criminalized.
