More to the point, as I stated upthread, the penalty is akin to carrying inside a posted establishment.

I’m not trying the minimize my distaste for the mandate or the germ who mandated it, I’m just trying to present the facts without introducing additional hyperbole into the discussion.

He's basically playing fast and loose with the emergency powers statute, which carries established statutory penalties for non-compliance with emergency orders. The road to Hell is paved with "good" intentions. We got a good peek inside that gaping maw during Katrina, if you recall.
 
I should dig up more old inhalers and leave them in my car, in my backpack, etc... I usually keep one around, but i sometimes actually use it...

Most of the Sheriff's in the mountain counties have said they're not gonna enforce mask mandates.
If a Karen calls them they have to show up, and you'l likely end up talking about the new hellcat..Dodge or Springfield..but you're not getting a citation.
Of course there's always gotta be the douche guy who wants to argue with the cops regardless and turn a no-big-deal encounter into an arrest.
 
I'd like to see a map, kinda like the 2A sanctuary counties, of LE who won't be enforcing the retarded swamp donkey mask mandate.

Aha. So, if I pay myself a dollar for recovering from strenuous face-palming exercise, myself I'm good to go ?

So he’s not closing restaurants and bars, but making it mandatory that you mask up except when you’re taking a bite. This can be enforced against the client or the establishment. Wait staff will be told to gently remind customers, customers will be unhappy, customers will leave smaller tips, customers will stop going to restaurants, restaurants will close. But this way it’s not our fearful leaders fault.

That is pretty much how it is now. From what I have seen most people on both sides have been easy going and polite. And me and my friends are tipping more since we know the restaurant‘s pain. My guess is in most places this is a non issue. But there will be a jack ass somewhere.

I talked to Terry a couple months ago. He’s doing fine and likes living back home close to family. I do miss him!
 
I'm not wearing one again. Tired of the contact dermatitis on my face and the sneezing & sinus infections fr being forced to wear them for 12 hour shifts at work. Wonder if I'll have to ask anyone the likelihood of keeping their jobs when HR is writing the checks for violations of the ADA.

was it kansas last week....forgot about covid for the week i was there....very few masks and everything seemed to be opened for business.

drove through Illinois and that state still has their rest areas closed..

Illinois is so broke that even if the rest areas were open the toilets would be plugged or missing and the trash bins overflowing. Keep on driving closed or not.

We can't go in our bank without an appointment....all business through the drive through....

I have so far been allowed to walk right in and deal with the ladies as usual. There were no pens out for writing deposit slips, but most other things seem to be available. I have worn a regular mask rather than the one pictured above.
