Small deep freezers. Sold out everywhere around here (Lowes, etc)
But.... do they have a generator?

My local Lowes does. Don't know about the people buying the deep freezers. I've got 2 portable generators. Bought 16 gallons of ethanol free gas a couple of days ago. If it's not needed elsewhere it will go in the lawn mowers for grass cutting season.
next thing to sell out: vacation rentals?
my sister, who lives in the Boone "area", says the snowbirds are migrating North earlier than usual.

It'll come back. And the shelves in food lion are getting bare. No eggs, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, and other items. Limit of 2 packs on hamburger. Meat guy actually to one back out of the wife’s cart. Things are looking grim.
I think the empty shelves is being caused by panic buying and folks having to eat at home more due to restaurants closing. It will take a little time for people to adjust.
Be nice to your wife! LOL.I just asked my wife to order me an instant read meat thermometer. She went off on me about her not working right now and I was all like, bitch, I'm cooking every night! I'm not trying to die from undercooked meat.
I had to put it on my credit card.

Consider making mead. Seriously. We’ve got bees coming soon. I hope they’re productive and give us honey.I do, but I've never thought to use it in coffee. I don't like honey in general, but desperation changes things.
I deliver to both of the Commissaries, I bring all of the Cookies and Crackers from Nabisco. South side was looking worse than North from what my orders looked like.you ought to see the commissaries on Bragg...both of them are a mess; even during the hurricanes they were never gutted like they are now...even the dog food was gone at north post when I was in there yesterday...I did score a box of little Debbie swiss cake rolls
Office depot and office max carry TPWas reminded yesterday that if the grocery stores around you are out of paper products, Lowes and Home Depot carry paper towels and stuff. So there is always that.
So considering meats's gone off the shelves, when do I need to start camping out in our cow fields with a rifle and NVG's looking for cattle rustlers?

There are people buying this stuff that don't even know how to cook... Half of the fresh produce will rot before they ever use it, and the meat will sit in the freezer until next year when they throw it out because they didn't wrap it properly and it will freezer burn.I think the empty shelves is being caused by panic buying and folks having to eat at home more due to restaurants closing. A friend and I were wondering the other day, just who was the first one to grab all the TP they could grab, and who saw them do it....and so began the rush on TP. In these anxious times, we get a laugh from picturing it....it calms her down. Most of the people hoarding TP and paper plates aren't doing it out of need, they're doing it because they saw someone else do it.

The house next door to my daughter is for sale. I got in there and took the TP.
I'll go back tomorrow for the paper towels.

DRIP DRY WOMAN!!!A side note to toilet paper as pointed out to me by my wife ... women require toilet paper more than men ... men just need to shake.
I’m worried she laying the groundwork so she can start rationing my son’s and myself’s use of toilet paper for only one call per day ... I can she her counting out the sheets and stay “NO MORE TWO PLY FOR YOU!”
That’s nice because my wife’s friend was planning on having her bachelorette party in Asheville and my wife was concerned about being on the hook for an Airbnb or trying to find a way to use it. This should give an easy out to refund/reschedule.too add to my post above about vacation rentals:
In a special called meeting on Monday morning, the Swain County Board of Commissioners
unanimously adopted a supplement to the State of Emergency declared last week.
The new measure calls for all hotels, motels, inns, rentals, campgrounds, etc.,
to close to short-term rentals as of Tuesday, March 24 at noon.

Panic buying drives me crazy, because in reality, there's no real interruption to the supply, and people are still using as much as they did before. A rumor gets started that a shortage as coming, and people run off the cliff like lemmings to create the very shortage that they fear. Most of the people hoarding TP and paper plates aren't doing it out of need, they're doing it because they saw someone else do it.

9 meals from anarchy...
The whole TP thing is going to be like 22LR back in '16 for a while. We don't have any "new poopers" and I doubt people are pooping more than before, so all the hoarding will keep the shelves empty which means when it comes in stock everyone will buy everything they can even if they don't need it, then the shelves are empty... rinse and repeat.
Unlike 22 though, when you're sitting on 1000s of rolls of TP at some point you probably stop. probably.

consumer pockets will limit at some point. Forget the stats, but it’s something crazy like “average individual (or household?) only has 5k or less in savings”.
So if that be the case, it becomes a war of financial attrition. I can certainly afford to buy more of my future needs today than the “average” according to those figures. The panic hoarding must be hurting at this point. I expect it to ease up soon.
