This one is from youth weekend...... ya'll get your little girls in the woods. They will surprise you!!! This trio has 18 deer, 3 turkeys, and a hog between them. They are assassins!!!!
They are grinning so big because at their age they have already learned how to destroy males!

tough weekend here. I was able to get Dad down to the house. Got him to his stand and he shot at 2. He got excited and didn't wait on a broadside shot. He tried to shoot both deer in the chest, one at 80 yrds and the other at 90yrds. He hit both deer. Only found meat on one. no blood anywhere. Found meat blood and bone on the other. was able to track it about 75-100 yrds and ran out of blood. still continued to search but wound up with 2 goose eggs. Dads pretty bumed and I'm Bumed for him☹️

They've struck again!!! It was a late night recovering this one, so the divas had to go home and get in the bed. These girls are tough!!!

I broke my pig down into pieces that would fit in my shop fridge to age. I deboned and cubed it today to make sausage this weekend.

I'm no butcher, so I don't know exactly what cut this is, but look at it! Look!

Freakin hog wagyu.

I haven't seen squat the last couple of hunts.

Taking my grandson (in law) in the morning. I swear, if a doe or cowhorn steps out, I'm gonna Baldwin that critter!

Edit: Bailed on hunting this morning. I like the cool temps, but the wind makes for a miserable hunt, in my opinion.

I’m with you, The deer I posted is the first one I‘ve seen while Hunting. Been coming up empty every time until yesterday evening. Really wanted to let that deer walk but wanted one in the freezer too

Picked up a 7 pt, big doe, and smaller year and a half deer with her. Might be a one and done season for me. But I did have 3 deer all over me from the time I got in till daylight. Then they just left. So I’ve got a few more I can hunt still.

My 19 year old daughter has been hunting on her own for 3 years now. We both went out this evening but I wasn't really expecting much with the wind blustering.

Our stands are maybe 500 yards apart but the wind was blowing so hard I never even heard her fire her muzzleloader. It's nice to have help in the meat department. She's shot several does and a couple of smaller backs. She was super excited to "finally get an 8 pointer" this evening.

I'm always proud of her but this evening it was especially fun!

The youth pastor at my church sent me this yesterday!

Ok this is a strange one for you… as it is getting daylight in here, I notice what looks to be a deer laying about 5’ from my corn pile. Sure enough, this is what I found…

No signs of being shot. A highway is less than 300 yards from the corn pile. Thinking it could have gotten hit but still no signs of anything broke or any hair ruffled. It’s a little button buck. He pulled the chip on his camera and brought it over. It came in the night before at 7:58pm and died by 8:15pm. His twin brother was in there with him when he died. Looked like he was acting normal. Had 6 other deer came in and walked over and smelled him. Called the warden to see about testing. The warden called and left a message for the biologist but no return phone call yet.

He was tickled! If I can watch him shoot every year, I don’t care if I ever get another one.
I know how you feel....Feel the same way when my Dad kills one....I say year after year, If there is only one deer killed off my place I hope Dad kills it. Its like the roles are reversed now....Its Good Stuff!!!! Congrats to you as well for getting to have that moment with your son!

7AF7B70F-EA64-4EEB-898C-1EF792BD2225.jpegI went hunting Monday. I had an out of this world hunt. God is good. .45 smokeless savage. I can only explain the details of this hunt by acknowledging the Holy Spirit. If it sounds odd that’s because it was. Out of nowhere I moved from my seated with legs crossed position to shoot off my knee and said aloud “somethings about to break loose”. I hadn’t heard or seen anything! And I was alone; who was I talking to? Two whole minutes later he was 50+\- yards broadside where I had pointed my rifle. Cake shot. Some random dude, now a friend, from another forum helped me pack it out. It doesn’t get much better. If he wasn’t 200lbs he was knocking on the door. Both of us couldn’t have gotten him back across the creek bank, field dressed or not.

Does it count if you don't shoot it?

My wife, father in law, and myself just got back from a 3 day draw hunt at Belfast Plantation. Father in law got a couple doe, and my wife finally got it done this evening with a 95lb doe. I couldn’t be prouder of her, she toughed out some long hikes and solo hunted from her own climbing stand for the duration. She missed a nice buck this morning that had her bummed so I was super happy that this doe walked out in the last hour of our hunt.
