What blade are you carrying today?

Since I don't have to wear the 'business professional' costume anymore I get to carry a much nicer knife every day (vs. one that isn't so obnoxious).

Delica with the wave and the wise men company ring mod. Deploys quick and orients to my preferred grip. Have an endura modded the same way but the 4" blade is just too much.

EDIT: I think I got this and the endura from a forum member. can't imagine I would buy at retail and get blue or whatever color that is. :)

I was taking some pics of other stuff to sell today and decided to round up most of the knives. I know the title of this thread is what blade are you carrying today, and I don't always carry one but tend to have them stashed around me everywhere when I need to grab one to use or pocket carry.

I took an updated picture with a couple adds.

From top left down
  • Kershaw 2001 ST Rogue Automatic
  • Kershaw 1605CKTST Clash Black Serrated
  • Kershaw 1605 Clash
  • Kershaw 1555BW Cryo Blackwash
  • Kershaw 2415 ST Medium Liner Action Serrated
  • Benchmade 755 Shane Sibert MPR
Top right down
  • Zero Tolerance 0350ST Tungsten
  • Zero Tolerance 0350TSST S30V (tiger stripe)
  • Zero Tolerance 0450CF Sinkevich Flipper
  • 2X Spyderco Tenacious (car and truck knives)
  • In center - Quartermaster Karambit 010/300
Still MIA somewhere is a Kershaw Desert Sand Tanto.

Second picture, pearl handled knife I inherited from my grandmother, needs some TLC, pretty rusty. a small Swiss model and the pride and joy of my entire collection is of course the Elvis combo pocket knife, bottle opener and nail clippers, purchased at the Graceland gift shop. Somewhere around here I have a few pocket knives from my childhood - a dented up BSA-branded knife, plus a couple of old Case and Buck knives I couldn't lay eyes on.4A797873-F764-4BE3-8C91-D7B664D51926.jpegC67F9D66-4215-4959-978B-F096C54A077C.jpeg

Standard carry these days. Spyderco Delica Wave (VG10) with Wisemen Co. Finger ring, carried left front pocket is my "get off me" blade. Kershaw Blur (S30v) rear right pocket is my "do stuff" blade.

I keep both sharp enough to scare hair off your arm.

Looks like an “Arsenal of Death” if the media saw those all laid out. You know, after Joe has your neighbor convinced that he should Red Flag rat you out.
For “the chillren, hon”
🤮
Too funny! Our barracks are undisclosed…. Though the neighbor is pretty dang hot!!

The more knives I buy for EDC, the more I go back to the Spyderco Delica (4th one down, old photo). But recently I was at the Asheville gun show with my friend from Arden. He bought me a Benchmade 535 (Bugout) which I leave in NC for when I fly there w/o checked luggage.

Bought my first Bugout (a Mini) over the weekend, I llove it! Hard to beat the Delica though. Been carrying a new Mantra 3 the past weekend as well and have enjoyed it too.

It’s ok. He also bought me this. While the laser isn’t even close to landing in the lighted circle, it’s been quite the amusement source for having the dog chase the dot around the house. 🤣

Great thread! I may have even already put this on here in the past 14 pages; but of all the knives I own, the Syderco Dragonfly gets carried 95% of the time when I reach for my knife in the morning. It may be the perfect knife for size, function, ease of carry, maintaining an edge, and easy one hand opening. Just my humble opinion.

I have given 2 to new college graduates as a gift this year.

This awesome little bugger.

Ceramic blade, sharp enough to shave with, holds an edge like you wouldn't believe for most slicing acts. Being ceramic, it absolutely cannot be used to pry, because it WILL chip and snap. I use other blades for that.

I buy these in 4-packs on Amazon for $10 to $15. When I wear one out, I toss it and get another.

Honestly, the edge on these buggers far outlast conventional steel when slicing cardboard and whatnot.

The only thing I recommend doing with them is to put a drop of purple LocTite on the screw/post threads to keep them from loosening.20210706_163739.jpg

I have toyed with the idea of buying a ceramic EDC/folder. How do you like it for blade material?

I like them very much. Incredibly sharp, and as I said, they keep an edge when used for routine slicing.

They are brittle and absolutely cannot be used for any kind of prying, including typical carving actions. But if you have a good solid grip and don't allow ANY twisting or prying motions, I've cut clean through a one inch thick tree limb.surprised me, I'll tell you!

Buy a 4-pack next time you order something on Amazon. For the price, they can't be beat. Price has been up and down the last year, though. Currently showing for about $19.

One day delivery. I cannot confirm or deny that my wife already took one and may or may not have lost a finger.

That's them, all right!

How do you like them?

Oh, and I really do recommend a drop of purple locktite on the post and screw to those things. The do work loose very easily.

Take that cheap lanyard off and toss it, too. With nothing but the aluminum post and screw, it'll be hard pressed to set off a metal detector...even a wand. And even if it does, it's likely also going to alarm at the metal rivets in your jeans.

I have a small rotation that is usually decided upon like most things whatever I will be wearing and what ill be doing, however 90% of the time my go to is a ZT 0350. I have had hundreds of knives over the years and the 0350 is perfect for me as an edc work knife. All my edc knives are either ZT or Kershaw these days.
