YOUR LEVER GUN PICS

Winchester 1886 45/70...........

It is amazing that anyone could have so many cool guns that they could forget about a gem like that.

I recently purchased this Marlin 1894 SS in 44 Magnum. Manufactured in 2002. It's pretty nice overall with a few imperfections in the wood that lead me to believe it didn't spend its life in a safe. It didn't come with the rear sight so I'm in the process of trying to figure out which one I want to get for it. I'm really looking forward for a chance to take this down to the range and see how well I can shoot it. 20210929_161350.jpg

I put a Williams FP receiver sight on mine back in 89'. Can unscrew the narrow peep out for a larger rear aperture. However, been thinking lately of adding a compact 3x scope that I have sitting around.

I just ordered one of the sights for mine. It was one I was considering.

Awesome. Do you have to use special flat nosed bullets to get the .308 to load and feed properly?

Edit: Doesn't look like a tube magazine so never mind. Is it top loading?
I haven’t personally put a round through it, but as CD mentions above my understanding is these guns have a 6 round internal rotary magazine. The former owner (my brothers father in law, now deceased) had standard 308 Ammo with it.

That is cool, I am not familiar with that model at all. Thanks for sharing.

My one and only lever for now. Still waiting on the right 1895 and 1894

Just a lowly Remlin 336 but worked over by Superior Firearms. Buckhorn rear removed and filled. Rear ghost ring, rail and front fibre optic added. Action smoothed and tricked out. Cera-kote.

Winchester 9422 WinTuff with laminated wood. I missed the fact that Winchester quit making these little jewels.

Anybody know the make and model of my first .22 bolt gun in the background?

Model 67.
Indeed it is. I just finished reading my American Rifleman, and found they did a back page special on them. I had no idea that Winchester made that many 67s.
The article was interesting, but the writer stating that the 67 was not serialized is incorrect. Mine is number 7730. All other aspects are as he described.
Mine was my great uncle’s hog killer, and he let me headshoot chickens with it, as long as I helped clean them later. It shoots minute of squirrel, even with an artillery bolt and a gritty trigger. Only gun I’ve kept from childhood.

A bit of an oddball...

Here’s my Martini Cadet .32-20/.310. A really sweet little rifle. Had to do some creative handloading to get it shooting. Using blown out 32-20 brass and eventually a 150 gr .321 bullet. Had one in .357 but didn't like the scope mount on the gun so I sold it. Like the as issued look better too.

Honey, I shrunk the ‘73. Here’s a before and after of my color cased Cimarron 30 inch .45colt 1873. Had the way too long for this old man barrel replaced with a easier to use 20 inch barrel. Also got it slicked up. Thirty years ago I didn’t have a problem with it…thirty years ago. The Cowboy Shop did the barrel swap and action work, I did the mag tube, sights and lighter mainspring. Turned out nice, very happy with the ‘shrinkage’.

Went to see my dad yesterday and he was showing me a Henry 4570 he had picked up. Thought you guys might like to see as well. Not really sure how pro gun these folks on it really are but thought it was cool to have trump on there. The black fuzzy on the reciever is from the case he had it stored in. I’m going to get him a gun sock here soon. View attachment 105464 View attachment 105463 View attachment 105461 View attachment 105460
Anyone and everyone should be proud to own that one! My only problem is that I would shoot it and send the Collector's Value on a downward plunge. OK, because I would probably never sell it.
