Come on, you know they take care of their own! Wink wink.No need for investigations. All cops are bad and in the wrong. All perps are choir boys and loving father's just wanting to go to their kids birthday party. Fire or jail the cops, free and worship all perps. Problem solved.
Saw this morning that the death was ruled a homicide and they are thinking about charging officer with murder.
Not to the degree that they should be shot no. He didn't take a firearm and the taser is non lethal. That cop is going to prison. Again, they guy was driving drunk and resisting arrest, he needs to go to jail not the cemetery.
The victim choose to escalate the confrontation. It’s always easy to second guess any action after the fact. If the guy got away and stole a car and ran into a crowd of innocent people we would question why the cops didn’t do more to stop him.
For 30 years now our young have been taught that they have no responsibility for their actions. It will get worse before it gets better.
Agencies can't fill the vacancies fast enough. Some folks should go in and fix the "corrupt" system. It's not just black culture saying this either. Just look through some of these threads. We have at least one guy that talks crap about everything cop even on the good Threads. "Police officer commended for saving woman's life during traffic stop after getting stung by bee" That MF shouldn't have been trying to fill the King's coffers and this would have never happened. Blah blah blah. If we don't like our system change it. I have far more respect for people like AOC than a bunch of Internet flunkies to afraid to do something righteous for their beliefs. A voice of reason seems to fall to the wayside these days.
And like someone said upstream, Rayshard carjacks someone with the cops taser and then his drunk ass kills a family on the highway. Oh my God, why didn't the cops stop him!watch full body cam video. cop says he knew it was a taser.
The only one I see missing is a double-post, where McDirkdale deleted the second one. What happened to the last couple of post???
What happened to the last couple of post???

Based on your logic, we should just let drunks (who just fought with police and took a weapon) drive off and go home?based on “logic“ like that everyone should be killed at a traffic stop because they might leave the traffic stop and go directly to a daycare and slaughter cook and eat all of the children there
Never said they should’ve let them drive home just that they were better options than killing him. LOLBased on your logic, we should just let drunks (who just fought with police and took a weapon) drive off and go home?

This drunk guy didn't have a Taser. He had a rock. Not to the degree that they should be shot no. He didn't take a firearm and the taser is non lethal. That cop is going to prison. Again, they guy was driving drunk and resisting arrest, he needs to go to jail not the cemetery.
A police officer from Weymouth Police Department in Massachusetts was shot and killed by his own service weapon by a man who eventually went on to use the same gun to kill an elderly woman inside her own home, according to reports. 42-year-old Michael Chesna was reportedly shot on duty while responding to a call of an erratic driver. Chesna found a crashed BMW and a suspect who was vandalizing a home in Weymouth. The officer drew his service weapon and asked the perpetrator to stop.
The 20-year-old suspect, who was identified as Emanuel Lopes, reportedly threw a rock at the officer's head, which made him unconscious. Norfolk District Attorney Michael Morrissey said that Lopes then grabbed the officer's gun and shot him repeatedly in the head and chest, at least 10 times, according to the Associated Press.

None not a single one of these case come even remotely close to the WTF factor of Daniel Shaver. Yet people don't know his name because he didn't fit the MSM agenda.
That is truly sad to watch.
It has been almost 30 years since I rode armed with S.C.H.P and Georgetown County Narcotics. It's amazing how much has changed. 30 years ago in this area if that man had been confronted and taken a field sobriety test that turned out like his did. The officer would most likely have said something like....Listen man, you're not drunk outta your mind but you are Not leaving here in that car. Let's go call somebody to come get you. Remember what I'm doing to help you tonight, you won't get this break next time.
BUT times have changed, the officers that I knew then were veterans with many years of experience. I suppose we have passed on those times and those men. Some things were better 30 years ago. One of those things was respect for law enforcement. Folks are being raised by disrespectful animals teaching disrespect.
F#^& with the Bull and you'll get the horns.
One of the single biggest differences in these two situations has nothing to do with race, age, or even anything inside the departments. It's M.A.D.D., S.A.D., it's a National outcry for body cams and god knows what other outside influences. The point is it's outside pressure of OMG like he let that person go, What IF!
It seems to me that the What if's have caught up to the WTF did you want me to do's.
It would be a freaking nightmare man. You should see the Karen's over this shooting saying,"Well they shot him in the back! You explain how you shoot someone in the back running away. Why do they get to play GOD??" That is paraphrasing but is one woman's argument on Facebook today. Of course no facts or reason can change that person.Different times, and different places I know...but this reminds me of tales my dad told me of growing up in the outskirts of Atlanta in the 50s/60s. They had a beat cop in their neighborhood that everyone knew. If he caught you doing something stupid, he would take his lanyard off and whip your butt with it, drag you home, and then your parents would get their turn. 50/60 years later, and the moment a police officer even remotely touches someone its a lawsuit waiting to happen. I cant even imagine the outrage Karens across the country would have if Officer Friendly were to paddle a kid for misbehaving badly in public.
And like someone said upstream, Rayshard carjacks someone with the cops taser and then his drunk ass kills a family on the highway. Oh my God, why didn't the cops stop him!
He can still use it as a contact weapon. He fired the taser and missed
Never said they should’ve let them drive home just that they were better options than killing him. LOL
Not given the circumstances. He got what he deserved......
Haha! You TRULY believe they had no other options and that was the best possible outcome?
That was the outcome warranted by the perp. Resist arrest, disarm a cop and flee, what the hell else could he do?? Oh yea, FIRE the taser at the cop, almost forgot about that part..
so your answer to my questions are yes and yes?
WTF are you blabbering about?
Do you think the officers had other legitimate options besides shooting ? and do you think this this was the best possible outcome?
