I think this is the most logical reason I’ve seeen for decriminalizing MJ.The thing that amazes me is how many people in these wrong houses that get hit have weed. Either weed smoking is at epidemic proportions, or someone is always carrying a bag of it just in case the search produces nothing.

Not like they do in the hood.Nobody smokes weed in the CC?
I know doctors and lawyers who smoke it. If they're not on the greens at the country club idk who is. It's time to roll back all stupid prohibition era laws including the NFA and the rest of Jim CrowNobody smokes weed in the CC?
Who do you think buys all the legal and illegal weed? There is a reason its a bazillion dollar a year industry. Lots of your friends and neighbors smoke it and no one has a clue.

The chief's statement,HOUSTON — Five police officers in Houston were shot, according to the city’s police department.
In a tweet, police said officers were responding to 7800 Harding in Houston Monday when officers were hit with gunfire following an encounter with a suspect.
Mayor Sylvester Turner said the shooting suspect is down, but did not provide any further information.
Police said the officers were transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital, Medical Center and Ben Taub General Hospital. Their conditions were not immediately known.
Joe Gamaldi, president of the Houston Police Officers’ Union, says one of the injured officers was taken to a hospital by helicopter.
The mayor called for prayers.

The chief's statement,
Acevedo commented that the investigation is on-going. He said he's aware of "conspiracy theorists" that have speculated that the officers raided the wrong home, but says they are incorrect.

But you cannot trust "The man"
These raids aren't exactly going down in the Country Club.
If the police raid the wrong house, what does it matter if they find drugs, hookers, large quantities of cash, or dead bodies, it can't be used as it's an illegal search or has this changed?
But you cannot trust "The man"
It sounds like you have decreed, sans evidence, that the cops planted the drugs. It is a lot harder to get away with a plant in the country club where people play golf with judges and DAs and have the money for good lawyers.
Whether it can be used in a court of law or not is up for debate. But, it definitely is used in the court of public opinion. Funny how it is always leaked that weed was found in such circumstances. Or, when a cop shoots a guy in his own apartment because she thought it was hers.
It sounds like you have decreed, sans evidence, that the cops planted the drugs.
Nope. Just seems strange to me how often weed is found in cases like this and used as prima facie evidence that the people involved had it coming, even if the cops were at the wrong address or didn’t find a heroin den.
Gotta get rid of that crappy ditch weed they confiscated from some kid on a traffic stop somehow! That crap will put you to sleep and give you a headacheNope. It would be more surprising that there wasn't weed found in these residences. It's a drug house after all, they made buys there.Nope. Who's everyone? People who weren't there?, Bloggers?, Internet curmudgeons?Everyone except the police say this statement is wholly inaccurate. Even the evidence the police "found" don't support the argument that he residence was a "drug house."

They bought dope there. ie drug house.
Why are you always dragging other stories into the one we are discussing? Did the officers in this story have the slightest thing to do with that other one?Neighbors, family, others in the community. Folks that knew the slain.
These cops also "bought drugs at the location," except they didn't....they made it up to obtain a warrant and only managed to cook a toddler with a flashbang...

This idea that the cops don't lie - especially when they screw up - is demonstrably false and easily disproven.
They're not made of any finer clay than the population from which they come.
One "informant" and these guys go all tactical and shoot the dog.

They still busted in and shot the dog and and people only to come away with nothing.

Ok that's what you call facts. We all know that's what happened we also know that the drug distribution system is not as reliable as say the Pepsi man going to Walmart daily. So when they are out officers don't know they are hitting a dealer ripe to sell or empty. I'd like to see facts about the stuff going on that day like the first thing of saying it was the wrong house how do they know it was the wrong house. This is case specific so in this case how does anyone know it was the wrong house?
I don't believe there was a "right" house. Just another guy/gal wanting to offer bait to get out of their predicament. Do I know that for sure? Of course not.
What I do KNOW for sure is that this WAR on the public for non violent crimes. If all of this was legal then they would not have to protect their stash on their own. Killing, thieving, assault, and rape are what the focus should be on. The rest we will have Darwin to take care of.
And none of those crimes ever has anything to do with drugs? Or could drugs be the root of all of those crimes?Killing, thieving, assault, and rape are what the focus should be on.
