Salts are awesome.I upgraded a bit. Spyderco lightweight salt
I’m not a collector. 😂. Different steel that is more corrosion resistant and slightly lighter. The black also is less noticeable in my daily business casual 🤷🏻♂️ I admittedly bought it because I just like black and Spyderco. What’s the difference between the two?
I dropped mine into the ocean in about 50 fathoms and need to replace it.I upgraded a bit. Spyderco lightweight salt
I'm also more than proud to be caught with a GEC in my pocket.....View attachment 296193
It feels like I blinked and GECs went from good knives at reasonable prices to unobtanium. What happened? My GECs made me a small fortune when I sold off the majority of my collection. I had all of the 38 Grinling Whittlers, even the neptune acrylic, which I sold for total eff you bucks.
You focused primarily on those Pembertons and Washington Jacks?

The Endura is a lightweight as well as per Spyderco but it has liners. The Pacific Salt does not. H1 which is the steel on the Salt is very corrosion resistant but a bit soft. It works better in serrated edge than in plain edge as far as edge holding. What’s the difference between the two?
Dammit man!Microtech mini-UDT from 1999. Picked up on the forum a couple weeks ago. I didn’t know its true value when I bought it, and apparently neither did the seller. But I’ve come to find this lil’ guy is rather well sought after.

For about 11 years, I carried an Applegate-Fairbarn Combat Folder.
Loved it, just loved it. Had to rebend and then replace the belt clip a couple of times, but it worked pretty good.
Then, about a month ago, I randomly walked through my local gunstore and saw a knife display that was unlocked. And I started fondling things and ended up buying a CRKT Helical.
My goodness what a nice little knife after carrying that monster Combat Folder for so long.
Only downside, is the grip is a little slick. That's the only thing I'd change about it.
A couple strategically placed squares of grip tape?
Owned it for just a couple hours.....and already dropped it on the pavement. Didnt even cut myself with it yet! 😂

Yup. Wasn’t intended to be a safe queen any way. I figured that slicing my own finger would be the first ‘mark’Now it’s actually usable....like getting the first scratch on a 4wd truck.
That's what I would've done.Yup. Wasn’t intended to be a safe queen any way. I figured that slicing my own finger would be the first ‘mark’

For what it cost, this is a great knife and I like it a lot.
I gave these as gifts to my camping buddies, big hit.For what it cost, this is a great knife and I like it a lot.
