Yeah, I had to write off a local dealer right around the corner from my house in Garner after they shafted me. $30 transfer each for receiving 2 PSA lowers. so $60 transfer fees for two lowers from a repeat local customer! I refuse to visit them anymore.This.Right.Here
$20 per stripped lower with no multiples discount is nuts on a $50 item. Especially since CHP holders don't even do anything but fill out a form and show ID to file. 5 minutes worth a work, $60 for 3 lowers
Our fee for firearm transfers is $29 per gun + $12 for storing the Federal paperwork.
When I thought they could not get any stupider, Hyatt's proved me wrong:
We regret we cannot accept transfers from non-FFL dealers.
You can check this service...Any recommendations for an FFL with reasonable shipping rates? May need to ship a pistol to TX
Glad to see TSA drop their price. Do they still not except transfers from Buds?TSA is $26.18 since they charge sales tax(???)

Not sure, I use a different LGS for my Bud"s transactions. TSA us no longer collecting sales tax on the transfer fee.Since it has been 2 years since I had them do a transfer, I’m tagging @Button Pusher to see if he will chime in.
Nice....thanksI created a map overlay in Google maps: FFL Cost Map
I should have read this thread again before I ordered. I just checked, and Pop-N-Shots is on file with PSA. Good to know!I guess when you mean actual business you are referring to a brick and mortar store front. He is not that. He does run a business though and not only does very reasonable transfers but gets firearms at better prices than any shop I’ve visited around here. It’s worth giving him a call if you are looking for a specific firearm. He can’t beat PSA on prices obviously but everything else he has quoted me has been extremely reasonable price wise.
Contact number is 919-815-7701. Again tell him Kevin sent you. I’ve probably been to over 40 shops over the years and for my transfers I don’t go through anyone else.

I believe SMG now uses UPS. At least they did my last shipment. I also found out it was cheaper for me to use UPS Next Day Air Saver recently, they were discounting 30%. It has to be there the next day only, not by any set time, so Air Saver is much cheaper.I've used Ship my Gun this year. No hassel at all. They provide a paid shipping label for FedEx. You take the gun to your local FedEx office and they package and ship. I sent a handgun from SC to Co for $29.
In the Wake Forest/Youngsville area, call Roy over at Pop-N-Shots. IIRC, he only charges $15 or $20 for the first firearm, and $5 for any additional firearms purchased on the same form. He is a home based FFL and a really nice guy. I highly recommend him!
