Snowmageddon December 8th, 9th, 10th 2018

It would be a tragedy if we couldn’t bathe. :D
So after years of watching the Lady of the House take milk baths for her complexion, the maid had saved enough to treat herself to one. She called the dairy..
Maid..I need ya'll ta bring me some milk over heah to take a bath in.
Dairy..How much do you need delivered?
Maid..Oh just the normal rich folks order for a bath.
Dairy..Do you want it pasteurized?
Maid...No, past my ass will be fur enough, I'll just splash it in my eyes.

It is even snowing in parts of Shanghai.
It hasn't been before 50 until today.
Finally had to put on my coat today.

Well since I am jobless none of this mess matters to me lol.

Wife and her boss lady already have a plan set to stay at her mum's place since it is closer to work

I got a battery back up for the few important things.

Besides that I am gonna sitt on my front porch and watch it roll in and fall.

Then go practice so other activities when the wife gets home lol,

It ain't a real strom until it is over the mailbox.
We have a shop employee working for us and when my Dad was still here he told him once that he would close the doors when it was asshole deep which the shop guy reply But if its asshole deep to you its over my head.

If you check weather.com they're saying "Meh, you might get a little snow."

If you check NWS they're saying "Ya'll gonna get a lot of snow".

If you check any local news outlet they're saying the grammatical equivalent of running up and down the halls, waving their arms in the air, screaming "WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!!!" Gotta keep up the drama to get maximum views/clicks.

I mentioned this on the GSO 145.150 repeater this morning. I'd like someone with a whole bunch of time on their hands to research this, compile the data and crunch the numbers. I'm pretty sure there's a direct correlation between how fast the bread isle at your local grocery store clears out and how much snow we get.

Something like this:

It was suggested I ask @chiefjason for insight.

All those are out the window for this one. Shelves have been empty around here since Monday in places. My schedule changed between 4 am and when I woke up. Boss is pulling 2 runs today.

Been down in Saluda with my dad since Wed night. Normally I would go back to RTP Monday night...which might get interesting. Especially since what I'm driving right now is a used Mustang convertible...

Plans might change.

I got the boss to agree to me "Working" from home monday... if... I cant make it in.

Well I won’t be riding the Rzr to work. I sold it last night. Now to browse the dot com for a new tundra pickup.

Both my knees have been aching since Tuesday. Today it got worse. If this keeps up the barometer knees say we're all gonna die. Chicken Lady's new titanium barometer hip is getting real irritable also.

When my knees act up, I have found that it helps to rest a room temperature bottle of Jefferson Bourbon on the top of my knee...... before I take 3-8 pulls on the bottle!

It's raining down here on the coast, so far my prediction is 100% accurate!

Hit the grocery store up today - I didnt check the bread aisle, didnt need it, but they did have milk and anything else.
Only thing i noticed was in very short supply - frozen pizza lol

We are pretty much ready for things all year round here but I filled up the vehicles and spare cans in case the generator is pulled out ... bought in extra firewood ... hit the grocery for backups of coffee, soup and such along with a stop Aunt Betty’s Cafe for liquid libation ... I’ve done about everything to make sure nothing happens because we are too prepared ... when all the idiots raid the grocery and buy every loaf of bread, gallon of milk and cartoon of eggs it don’t happen so hopefully Smowmaggedon will stay west of us ...

Now as to ideas on what will hit the ground ... here it’s likely going to wet heavy crap that will leave an inch of ice for idiots think it’s safe to drive like assholes and wreck ... including wreck into innocent drivers who understand under the white stuff IS ice and slow and steady gets you there without needing a tow or worse body shop. The stuff in my area is going to be icy and my lazy ass puts down tarps on the steps, patio and such so I can just drag the stuff off rather than shoveling to a back ache and possible heart attack plus no need to salt the layer of schmutz left behind from shoveling you bust your ass on.

Seems like the kind of trip you should be snowed in for;)

No doubt!
It's coming down pretty hard now. I have little to no experience with snow. Grew up in Yazoo County, MS and lived 2008-2017 in New Orleans, although it did snow on our wedding day last year in Greenville, SC.
